I’m new to fiverr and just got my first message, are these types of messages worth engaging in of are they just spam?

Whoever sends you a Telegram (or other social media links) message is 99.99% likely to be a scam, so it's not worth having a chit-chat with them and wasting your time and energy.

Just write any response (maybe just "Hi" or "Hello") so it doesn't impact your Response Rate — and then block the user (also recommended if you can report the profile to Fiverr).

P.S.: Also, it's completely against the Fiverr TOS to share personal information (just in case if you're not aware, as you're new on the platform), so having communication with these scam accounts can only lead to troubles (and nothing else), so just stay away from them as much as possible.

Please report the user so that our team can take over and block them from accessing the platform.
