That's what really helped me understand how this feature works and how to bid.

Also, from personal experience, let me tell you that once you set up your first promotion, you need to be patient and leave it be for at least 10-14 days. 

Editing settings and changing the bid amount, will only restart" the system and it will delay any positive results.
