  1. It's weird that you despise the quality of the work but simultaneously keep buying from them. Have you ever thought that perhaps those people who leave perfect reviews in low quality services know exactly what they need and they don't expect more than? The seller gets the work done and it's perfect for them, so they leave five stars. No one is forcing you to leave five stars if you're not satisfied, but the seller is also not obligated to keep working with you if you find them not performing up to your standard.
  2. Yeah, it's getting ridiculous. I think they basically just go around hitting up any seller on the first page and beg for work, then they probably would come to the forum complaining about not getting orders despite "working so hard" 😕 I've seen those posts a lot here.
  3. Because most of them are actually new sellers who don't even know if they have to create gig first in order to sell and end up begging for work from me 😀
  4. I think you make the right move selling the source files as an extra. You might also want to offer it directly when discussing with buyers. Let them know what's the plus/advantages if they purchase the source files. Don't be too pushy though.
  5. I generally receive 3-6 messages daily 😀 on good days I kindly direct some of them to read Fiverr's article about being a seller, other times I just respond with "hey" and never engage further or mark as spam if they're being annoying.
  6. I had something similar happened to me before. It was 3 days before the deadline and the buyer just cancelled the order without notifying anything. I contacted CS and explained the situation to them. How unfair it will be if the cancellation impacts me, considering that I haven't even got the chance to deliver the work and the buyer didn't communicate anything. CS replied saying they understood my situation and they ensure that the cancellation won't affect my cancellation rate. I think you should consider contacting CS too.
  7. It took me months to finally get my first buyer, but I think it isn't always the case. It can be faster if you're lucky enough. Had to do plenty of research until I can find what works best for my gig.
  8. Most definitely not from the United States because he is planning to scam and earn in IDR, not USD 😃
  9. The site updates has nothing to do with buyers' willingness to leave a tip. It's not mandatory for them and you're not entitled to it.
  10. In the OP's case, he was being compensated by Fiverr. It mean that he will still receive the payment for the work he did even though it's from Fiverr's own pocket instead of the buyer.
  11. It's either in the evening or late at night, but these days I've been trying to get proper sleep. Staying up late too often negatively affects my health and mood throughout the day. I find myself more grumpy and tired after staying up late, despite getting 8 hours sleep.
  12. Unnecessary. Staying online alone will not get you buyers if you don't set up your gig properly.
  13. The same thing happened to me. I had some satisfied buyers and I didn't find it strange if they ask about my Instagram. Some ended up DM me the details of their new projects and even revision request, to which I responded by directing them to Fiverr if they want to discuss business-related matters. I guess I didn't think it through when giving my Instagram. I decided to never give away my Instagram to any buyer since then, even to the regulars.
  14. @vickieito that's what I thought. I rejected the briefs and marked them as spams, and one I rejected with the note that the brief consists of self promotion rather than an actual project briefing. If only those new buyers direct their "determined attitude" to do research and optimize their gigs instead 😅
  15. Editing your gig doesn't drastically affects your gig's placement, though it's best if you edit everything all at once before pressing "save". This is simply to prevent your gig from disappearing for too long due to the reviews. All gigs will go under review for a while after you edit it. There's no "tricks" to it.
  16. I think it's not a really bad tip to give, considering that I started with $5 gig myself and it actually did help to attract buyers. Though they weren't the best buyers, but their orders helped boosting my gig. I raise my price as I gain more reviews and even more when I received the Fiverr's Choice badge. The buyers I get now are so much better compared to when I was new in the platform. I guess it's not always a must to start off with $5 gig, but it is certainly helpful.
  17. As we know that there has been an update where Fiverr decided to eliminate Buyers Request altogether and replace it with the "Get Briefs". Recently, I've been receiving some matching briefs consisting of rather odd descriptions. Do new sellers seriously try to promote themselves using this feature now or am I just misunderstanding the briefs they sent? Is it possible that some buyers are clueless how this feature works?
  18. Wow, that's amazing if you can reach level two relying only on Buyer's Request. I think you should consider what @vickieitohas told you about gig's performance. It raises a question when you're a level 2 seller but you barely get orders from organic traffic. Generally, it shouldn't be too hard to gain buyers in your level....
  19. I agree with @artholistic about maintaining a good relationship with you past buyers. Repeat buyers are savior in moments when you receive less traffic and orders. Orders from these repeat buyers would keep you going and earn some new reviews that potentially boost your gig and get it back up again.
  20. Other than mosquitoes, cockroaches, and humongous-sized spiders, I am pretty cool with them. I live in a tropical country, so I've had enough of mosquitoes flying around making sounds when I'm trying to sleep. They annoy me so much.
  21. Yes it is against the ToS to ask buyer to change their review or to give you five stars.
  22. It means exactly as it is written. Your overall rating score is below 90%, so you are not eligible to make offer in response to buyer's request.
  23. Yeah no, don't take it. You're not supposed to pay buyer any cent for the project you get from them. That's nonsense.
  24. Could it be that you just edited your gig? because it will make your gig unavailable for some time, and resurface. Don't edit it too much. It's pretty normal for gig traffic to go up and down. Especially when you're fairly new and your gig isn't in a good position yet. Wait another day or two and if the impression remains zero, contact CS and ask whether your gig is active and visible. You cannot expect CS to get buyers and orders though. I'd suggest you focus on the orders that you currently have. Give your best service to make sure that the buyers are fully satisfied and they're willing to leave reviews. I am pretty sure that the new reviews would help boosting your gig's traffic.
  25. Thanks for your response. I searched in the forum for similar issue and one of the respondents said that there are two options, either wait for CS to respond/take action or mark the message as "spam" so that it doesn't affect the response rate.
