  1. If you read my post carefully, you would have understood that I was suggesting the "block" for rude buyers like the one in your post. I don't block buyers just because they are fellow seller on Fiverr and nowhere did I suggest you to do such thing 🙄 read the context
  2. I just get a bad hunch whenever a fellow seller in the same field as I am wants to use my service, so most of the time I just choose not to take the work. The buyer seems rude to you and I won't think twice to utilize the block button in their profile, to prevent them from ordering again. The reason why Fiverr removes the block button in the inbox message might be to avoid confusion. A while ago I've read someone here clicked the block button in the inbox message, thinking it'll stop the buyer from ordering again, but it didn't. Some sellers also misunderstood the button by using it to get rid of spam messages and ended up having their response rate deteriorating, since the block didn't work the same way as the spam button 🤔
  3. I understand what the other guy did is not okay, but those words are a bit too harsh don't you think 😐
  4. For people who come from developing countries, Fiverr business is a real deal y'know 🤑
  5. If the buyer leaves enough information for the project, I think it's best to just work with what you already have. Regarding the price, explain to the buyer if he take the wrong package and offer to upgrade the package. However, if the buyer requests for something that is not within your scope of work, I'd suggest cancelling it altogether. It's not worth wasting time trying to work on something you don't claim provide. The outcome might be unsatisfactory and the buyer would complain and even worse cancel. At least by cancelling early you won't lose time.

  7. Yes, Fiverr is working on removing Buyer's request entirely. It hasn't disappeared yet for now, but it's unusable.
  8. It's the complete opposite for me. I am an Asian seller and those who call me "bro" are mostly American buyers. My repeat buyer who is an American woman even calls me "dear" sometimes. It's unusual, but I don't really mind that. I like to think it's perhaps an indication that she's comfortable working with me. Hence the repeat business. I personally avoid using "bro" when communicating unless the buyer starts it first, just to sound more friendly. I still prefer to use something like "thanks, man!" over "bro" through.
  9. In the new update, Buyer's Request is replaced with "Get briefs", where Fiverr matches a potential client with sellers that Fiverr algorithm consider qualified. Also, stop spreading a false belief that buyer's request is the ONLY way for new seller to get buyers. I never use buyer's request when starting out as a new seller and I managed to level up without relying on it. Some other senior sellers also have the same experience. You should asses the quality of your gig if the only way for you to get buyer is through Buyer's Request instead of organic traffic to your gig...
  10. Wow, I can't be believe there are sellers out there who initiate cancellation over something that could be discussed and fixed. They really give zero crap about their cancellation rate. I wouldn't have the patience if I were you 😀
  11. It's when buyer doesn't care to read what they order and end up making me cancel the order. Doesn't matter how clearly I write the package and gig description as well as FAQ, there will always be that type of buyer. I wouldn't say a "challenge", but rather an unfortunate situation for a Fiverr seller, because there's no way to solve that. I am penalized due to buyer's ignorance and there's nothing I can do about it.
  12. Oh really? I've been actively delivering projects in the last few days and I never see that option 🤔 I don't remember having to activate anything either. You can choose which image to display in case buyer leaves a review, that's true, but I don't think you have to control over displaying the review. It will only happen if the buyer approves to leave review with the image of your choice. If the buyer disapproves, then you'll only see their review without the image.
  13. I assume you are asking about those gig images that also display buyers' review? sellers can't do that. Only buyer who has the option to choose whether they want to share the outcome of the project along with their review. If the buyer refuses to publish the result, then Fiverr won't show it up and there's nothing you can do about it.
  14. I meant the notification setting of Fiverr on your phone. Is there any chance you might haven't enabled it on your phone?
  15. I don't think you can do that right away, because Fiverr detects the country based on your IP address. You have to contact CS for that. I found this in other thread for the same issue. 16. I think that feature is only available for sellers who have business profile on Fiverr. As others have said, not all sellers are eligible. Fiverr would notify if you are qualified and the feature you asked about will be automatically available in your profile.
  17. Assuming that you're using iPhone, have you allowed Fiverr to send notification and turned on the "Time Sensitive Notifications" in the setting? Because if you have, the notification is supposed to be delivered as soon as there's any new update, whether it be new messages or orders.
  18. Honestly, I am grateful with what I have and the choices I made so far. Not always the best choices, but they led me to where I am now. One of the things that I kinda regret is that I took grades and school way too seriously back then. School grades don't matter as much as I thought in the real world. I should have had more fun when I was a teen, but oh well.
  19. Hello! I created a profile on Fiverr in 2020, but started to actually dive as a full-time freelancer in the platform in mid 2021. It was during Covid lockdown after I resigned from my office work. I am graphic designer and I mainly create streetwear designs. Initially, it was pretty difficult to gain order as I haven't got any review and I can only rely on live portfolio to "persuade" buyers, but it gets better now as I gained level 2. I've completed hundreds of projects and I am delighted to say that my monthly earning in the platform has given me the option to not go back to 9-5 job. I have no particular working hour, but it's usually in the evening. The duration varies, depending on the complexity of the project and the due date. In other words, it's very flexible. What I like the most about freelancing is that I could work from ANYWHERE, as long as there's internet connection. As a freelancer, I think one of the most important skills to have is self-discipline. No boss is going to shout at you to get the work done or dictate how things have to be done, so you have to establish a working system that is the most effective for yourself 😊 expanding connection, marketing your service, you gotta do that on your own.
  20. The "Rising Talent" badge is not just given to everyone and it's temporary. Fiverr's editorial team manually handpicks new gig that is considered to have great quality and potential. If your gig or any other gig doesn't receive the badge, it's probably because the gig is simply not qualified for it. 21. As far as I know, it doesn't violate the ToS to engage in casual conversation especially if the question is pretty general and nothing like asking about your personal info. I had some chatty buyers back then, asking about my country. They were probably just curious and meant no harm, but I am not sure if this is the case in your situation. You wrote that "he was making fun", do you mean making fun of your country and culture? if that's the case, I'd definitely would not engage further and refuse to take their project.
  22. I wouldn't say it's the most effective, but based on my experience it's definitely helpful to reel in buyers when I was a new seller. Though at that price points you can't expect good buyers. I increase my prices as I earn enough positive reviews and the buyers I get now are so much better.
  23. I've been receiving those kind of messages since 2 months ago, and some time ago I "accidentally" accessed a page that kinda looks like a Newsfeed consisting of works from different sellers. I can give "award" to any of those works as well. Unfortunately I didn't pay attention to what I clicked and I couldn't find it now 😀
  24. First of all, no that isn't how all buyers on Fiverr behave. However, there are a great number of buyers whose intention is to scam or take advantage of sellers, especially new sellers. If giving technical consultation is a part of the service that you provide, then you're not supposed to give it away for free. Do not waste your time solving problems or give out samples for works outside active orders. In this case, it happened and there's nothing you can do about it. Just let it go and learn from your mistake.
