  1. From what I've read on this forum the fact that you see your gig on the first page, does not mean others do as well. Due to algorithm specifications the search pages can look different for every buyer. I wouldn't stare too blindly on the impression numbers. You only started in April and already have 4 orders, so that's amazing!
  2. I took a look at the gig you have where the rating is 4.8 and I see the following; Seller communication level 4.9 Recommend to a friend 4.7 Service as described 4.8
  3. I'd say go for it! Your gig is not functioning as you want it (and seems to be 'deranked' as it is), so you have to incorporate some changes to improve your gig. What you have now doesn't seem to be working, so you basically have nothing to lose.
  4. It's explained below! To adjust the thumbnail: While in Gig Edit mode > Gallery > Video > Edit Press Play > Pause the video on the desired frame > Set as preview > Close Note: To adjust your video's thumbnail, your video must be approved first
  5. Your online status is not the sole reason why you're not receiving no messages. It will only be relevant if buyers are using the 'show online sellers' selection. Many of the messages I receive are when I'm not online. It has been said before but I'll say it again; your online status is not correlated to receiving orders. Instead of focusing on if you're appearing online, try to make your profile and gig the best that it can be. Does it stand out from competitors? Is your service clear and well-written? Stop worrying about the green bubble. Start proactively improving your account and that will increase your chances of receiving orders.
  6. I understand what you mean when thinking about how people can be quite spiteful and vindictive. So the chance definitely exists that when you leave a bad review, they'll leave a negative private review in return. However. If you have a negative opinion about a buyer you really feel should be known to other sellers, you should share it. Despite the 'if's, when's or but's' about their private feedback content. For all you know they might not leave a bad one. I'd just think to myself; is what I think about the buyer important for others to know? Is it something that happened due to my personal faulty communication/delivery etc? If the conclusion is that the buyer is difficult to work with, then write in a professional way the bad things you encountered. And then simply move on freelancing your little heart out without stressing over the (private) feedback.
  7. This post is actually a little Fiverr-related birthday gift for me, since it's my birthday today as well! Thank you for these insights and taking the time to break down the intricacies and somewhat elusiveness of the system into clear and concise language. I'll probably have to re-read it a couple of times to see how I can implement the between the lines tips & tricks, but I did have a question about the following; Of course Fiverr being a business values money. The more you make, the more interesting you are for them. But how does that translate to smaller sellers (like myself) who have an ASP of approximately $15 to $20? Does that in a way mean you're already 1-0 behind? And also, enjoy your cake and I hope you'll have a lovely day birthday-buddy! 🎈
  8. Sure thing! You're free to make any changes to your gig whenever you like
  9. The answer is quite straightforward and it's when you meet the requirements of the level again! Here's a link as a reminder what the requirements are for each of the levels: Fiverr's Levels
  10. That's because the buyer has to give their permission for it to be shown in there. So there's not much you can do, because if a buyer doesn't want the delivery to be showcased it simply won't be.
  11. If you see my icon I know it's a shocking surprise but....I write poetry!
  12. Let me see if I understand correctly; you have an active order with a client but during the order it became clear they needed extra work that's not within the original scope of the offer? If so, what you can do then is send a 'Gig Extra'. It allows you to create a sort of extra custom offer within the active order. All the buyer would need to do is accept this offer and it will be processed within that same order. This link is helpful for you to fully understand this process and it explains how exactly to do it: Offering Extra Services within an Active Order Hope this helped!
  13. Fiverr's algorithm rotates profiles all the time. That's why your gig doesn't always rank on the 1st page. It gives everybody a chance to get orders. Otherwise all the new sellers would continuously be on the last page and that wouldn't really be fair either. You're a Level Two seller so just keep on doing what you're doing and I'm sure it will rotate back and you'll get a 'better' position on the search pages!
  14. I went and checked it myself for my own gig and the badge shows with one keyword, but not with the other. I can't give an explanation for this but all I'd say is to trust the system! There's a reason why Fiverr gave you a notification of receiving the badge, so it might just be a system thing of it not showing. For all we know buyers do see it. It's a 'privilege' kind of thing I suppose so the fact it's not showing isn't hurtful, it's just a bit odd. You're a Level Two seller and you got this badge assigned so all I'd say is keep up the good work, you're clearly doing something right! You can always contact CS about it and see what they say about it not showing when you search for your own gig. One thing is for sure though is that it won't be shown on the gig on your profile.
  15. I actually saw this today on my profile as well so it indeed means your gig has been selected, congrats! I think it won't show on your gig but it only shows on the search page. So when buyers are scrolling through all the profiles, they will see this 'Fiverr's Choice' badge on your profile there. The same as with a Rising Talent badge. It might be different, but this is what I think!
  16. I'm not entirely sure but maybe change your settings to $USD on your Fiverr account if you don't have that already? Just keep in mind then that you'll probably still receive a different amount, because PayPal is linked to where you're based so I think you'll still be confronted with the conversion fees. Which makes sense, otherwise everybody could play the system 😅 So in short; I don't pay transaction fees for PayPal but I do 'pay' conversion fees, since it's linked to my location I can only receive Euro. I'm not sure if it's possible, but perhaps change the currency settings on your PayPal? I looked into it, but I can't find the option on my account
  17. In my experience this isn't true. So far the withdrawals I've made stayed the exact same amount and I use PayPal (and in Euros). So I think the issue is more into the direction what @theratypistsays and it's the difference between currencies
  18. I also didn't get more orders immediately! After some time however, I did get way more messages from buyers than before. Not all turned into orders due to a variety of reasons (e.g. buyers not following up/me deciding not tot take on a project etc). I couldn't with confidence say this increase is all due to the Level One status though, since I wouldn't know how it would be without this status since I can't compare. It might also be my account having more reviews than before for example, the time of year or whatever else. However I don't think such a status can hurt of course! Congratulations on receiving it and hopefully it will lead to more orders in the future for you too 😄
  19. Whenever you type a certain 'trigger' word, Fiverr gives a little warning within the chat sending a little reminder why a particular word is not allowed. You can still send the word though. It's up to you if you choose to or not. I sometimes had to use a 'forbidden' word but I felt comfortable sending it since I wasn't using it in any harmful way. For example, I used the word 'money' within my communication to make clear I wasn't expecting a tip from a buyer and they shouldn't feel obligated to send one. If you really want to know all the words, you can probably go over the ToS to see the type of words Fiverr doesn't appreciate to be used. This includes words that could indicate outside communication (email/number etc) or words that can seem like you're asking or manipulating reviews (e.g. asking for a review in the chat). Hope this helped! 😄
  20. Then the only option I see to do is to contact CS and tell them the link doesn't work and ask if they can provide some further clarification as to why it was cancelled 🤔
  21. Have you looked at the buyer's profile to see if they're still present on Fiverr?
  22. I'm not entirely sure but one reason could be that the account of your buyer no longer exists on the platform. The other reason is that a buyer can request a cancellation if an order is marked as very late, meaning that the delivery was missed by 24 hours or more.
  23. I know I definitely wouldn't have joined if there was and I also don't know if it would be profitable for me to continue my services if such a subscription would be the case. I do understand the idea behind a monthly subscription to hinder scammers and 'force' people to step their game up in order to see a return of their monthly investment. However, I provide my service more because I love writing and through Fiverr I can help others put their thoughts to paper. I make money with it but it's not at all a steady stream of income (nor does it have to be). This means that with a subscription I basically could lose money and I absolutely love being on Fiverr, just not enough to pay without seeing it returned. So for Sellers who have a consistent amount of orders I completely understand a subscription wouldn't make a difference and perhaps even create a better marketplace. But I think it could drive smaller Sellers like myself away (depending on the fee amount) who aren't scamming/stealing/deviously plotting, but who do it on the side and simply don't get that many steady monthly orders that would cover the subscription costs. In short; I'd be truly sad if the subscription is too high & forces me to leave Fiverr because it's not viable...But I guess we'll see what the future holds, because I couldn't stop such a change anyway but it's nice to put my two cents in nonetheless 😊
  24. Hey! So impressions are people only seeing your thumbnail on the search pages. For example, when someone searches for ‘graphic design’ it takes you to all the Sellers. That counts as impressions. Clicks are people who actually clicked on your profile and took a closer look at the services you provide. Here’s a link you might find interesting too to learn more about clicks and impressions: If your impressions are dropping, please read this. Hope this helped! 😃
