  1. I assume your question is in relation to this part: Firstly, a Buyer will learn about the private reviews once they qualify and when they receive their completed order from the Seller. They don't have to know until it's relevant to them. Second, it's not a rule to leave a review, it's optional, and a Buyer may forgo leaving any review at all. What is against the rules is a Seller requesting a positive review. Third, it's your job as a Seller to provide good service. If you do a good job, there's no reason a Buyer would leave a poor private review.

  5. If one counts door-to-door choir fundraisers as freelancing, then I started when I was still in high school! (The why: My choir group had the chance to go to Japan, and I managed to raise the $400 I needed to cover myself, but not enough kids in the class did, so the trip never happened.) If that doesn't count, then... roughly 2011, sort of. I took small artwork commissions for what was essentially an in-game currency. (The why: I didn't know any better.) If that also doesn't count, then I leaned about Fiverr in... 2018-ish. Didn't join until September 2019, after I'd moved to a new area and gotten an on-call job. The why: Turns out that the job had low demand, and thus low work-hours. Fiverr seemed to be a nice hobby-like supplement. I'll admit I still see freelancing as a side-gig (heh, pun) since I have a day-job (more consistent than the on-call one), so it's not my primary focus, but I've enjoyed most of the jobs I've done.
  6. Took a quick glance. First impression: the yellow of you gig images is rather bright, and the images themselves are rather busy. Here's what Fiverr provides as guidelines for gig images: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/4410883326481-Gig-image-guidelines-Making-the-most-of-your-Gig-image
  7. That depends on how many skills you have at a level that can provide value to someone paying for it. Never offer a gig for a service you cannot do.
  8. The first thing I read on your profile is "Hello Sweethearts". That's highly unprofessional. https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/250476-dear-madam-please-dont-call-me-sir-my-dear/ https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/243848-terms-to-not-use-on-the-forum-or-with-clients/ Your gig images are extremely busy and crowded. https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/4410883326481-Gig-image-guidelines-Making-the-most-of-your-Gig-image Read this: https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/282146-how-to-be-successful-on-fiverr-common-questions-answered-and-a-collection-of-great-posts-that-helped-me-achieve-trs/
  9. Your profile states you joined Fiverr in 2018, how long ago did you make your first Gig? Ugly things catch people's attention all the time.
  10. This is an improvement. This is what it used to look like: --- Motivation. It's either intrinsic or extrinsic. I have made one help topic. I made it from the desire to help people, NOT for a badge. The topic was time-consuming to do: research, write, verify, modify, rewrite, simplify, format, cite, and tweak. Most of the comments were zero-content bumps from people who clearly hadn't read it. Some of it was outdated within months of posting. When the forum migrated, the formatting was wrecked. I have no interest in writing for the sake of a pointless badge. I have posted some conversation starter topics, and even made an attempt to start a game; they failed to garner enough interest to persist. I have no interest in doing so again. And if you point out the topic I started for the most recent holiday season, the sole purpose for that was so that I had a place to merge redundant celebration threads to prevent the topics list from being clogged up. That topic was not for the purpose of conversation. That was preventive measures. The problem isn't that the experienced Regulars of the forum don't post threads. It's that we already have, and the people who who would most benefit from reading them don't, because they think making their own topics asking for help is more beneficial.
  11. Have you seen this thread yet? https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/282146-how-to-be-successful-on-fiverr-common-questions-answered-and-a-collection-of-great-posts-that-helped-me-achieve-trs/ Lots of self-education resources there. (Note that 'section 5: Buyers Requests', is outdated, so you can ignore anything on that topic.)
  12. I think that's why the Club got made, because there was no Vertical.

  14. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photosensitive_epilepsy Are you trying to drive people away!? Because that portfolio image is... yikes, and ouch.
  15. Begging for work is unbecoming and (honestly) a bit insulting. There are resources to help, and mariashtelle already linked one of the best starting topics on the forum. Read them. And the forum rules, while you're at it.

  18. Also broke Fiverr's ToS by asking for a positive review.

  20. Do you have any video recording of you actually playing the guitar? The stock footage is nice, but it makes you look fake. Never a good idea in a business setting.
  21. They're... kind of not? When a child enters school for the first time, he or she is not expected to 'catch up' to a student who's about to graduate. Just like there are no shortcuts to learning the material in school, there are no shortcuts to establishing a long-lasting business. Growth takes time, experience, dedication, and self-education.
  22. It seems we don't have the option, but we are going to add some more rewards pretty soon that will grant much higher levels of points for those who are creating and participating in conversations. I know this post is a few days old, but I somehow missed it then. According to the Invision guide, it's completely possible to make reactions not worth anything. https://invisioncommunity.com/4guides/member-functions/reputation-and-reactions-r171/ Also, when the forum was on Discourse, there was a cap of... I want to say 50ish reactions per day. While I know some of my fellow Regulars really like to react, it did help before the migration to make people actually think before reacting, and if it was worth spending those limited reactions. Plus, with Invision displaying reactions on our profile feeds (which is just plain clutter), the limit should probably be reinstated.
  23. I don't like this. Same with "Tips from Buyers." It doesn't make sense, as they are literally filled with advice to help and aid and Sellers and Buyers. This is a basic business principle. While the source of a product or service is important (quality, authenticity, and ethically), it's equally as important as who or what the product/service is for. Plus, as mentioned, we have Sellers who are also Buyers (SwaaBs) who would need to be differentiated and I know of several Sellers would prefer that their SwaaB status not be publicly known, due to getting bombarded with 'buy order from me' spam.
