  1. There was no question in the post I responded to in your quote. He was simply going off about how it's "next to impossible" to get orders as a new seller—which is false. I have shared plenty of tips on this forum. Hundreds of posts full of tips, in fact. They all tend to fall on deaf ears. I have nothing more to add than what I wrote in the thread linked below:

The OP is asking about a badge from a Fiverr course, not the Level 1 badge.
  3. And I started selling in May 2018. And back then, $5 gigs weren't the norm. The real irony here is that you comment about something that you know nothing about. You can keep complaining and whining, or you can do something about it. Your choice.
  4. You have to go further back than that... $5 gigs weren't exactly the norm 4-5 years ago, either. We all started with zero reviews. Some of us just had a business plan before starting... And there are plenty of sellers who have become successful with relatively new accounts—the reason being that these sellers are actually offering something that buyers want AND that they are awesome at what they do. @vickieito has done extremely well in a short amount of time, and there's also a seller (not on the forum) I've worked with who amassed almost 150 reviews in a bit over a year. And I'm sure there are many, many more examples. Try to look inward instead and figure out what you might be lacking when compared to successful sellers instead of just complaining.
  5. You claim to be a digital marketer... find leads for yourself. That's your job, right? Okay, I will share my gigs on social media and then proceed to stare at my screen. Am I doing it right?
  6. Did that work for you? I see you have zero sales.
  7. Don’t tell me what to do!
  8. I’ve analyzed myself and come to the conclusion that I’m awesome and perhaps the best person to ever exist. Also, I agree with @filipdevaere.
  9. Why? I’d like to hear your explanation. Also, why are you giving advice when you’ve made exactly zero sales?
  10. Don’t you think perhaps somebody who claims to be able to do marketing for games should also be able to successfully market his own gig?

Be happy that you gained knowledge? You have a badge from the Online Freelancing Essentials course, btw.
  12. I simply find it strange that you can score 9.8/10 on an English test and 10/10 on a content writing test when you can barely speak English. EDIT: And now you deleted the screenshot of the tests you took. Don’t worry, they’re still on your profile.
  13. I have a feeling you cheated on those tests…
  14. While I do understand where your client is coming from, having wasted his time because you said you were able to do something you couldn’t do, you shouldn’t worry about his lawyer. Contact CS like @melanielm said and when the order is closed then just block him and move on. Also, remove the mention of Discord from your gig description. You’re not allowed to communicate with clients outside the Fiverr platform. EDIT: As a fellow game dev, I would also suggest you start out only offering to do very small projects, meaning projects you know you can definitely finish in one week, even with unexpected delays. When you have a decent amount of reviews, raise your prices by a lot, so you’ll be compensated fairly if you decide to build bigger games for clients. EDIT 2: Why have you delivered an order 22 hours ago if you say you aren’t able to finish it? It’s supposed to be your very first order. You didn’t make an incomplete delivery, did you?
  15. It’s still spam and, as @maitasun mentioned above, it wouldn’t work.
  16. Don’t ever do this. This can lead to a warning or a suspension. It counts as spam. And as a buyer, it annoys me so much when I get messages like this. I will contact you if I need you. The only time I want you contacting me when we don’t have an order going is if I explicitly tell you to (for example, if you’re going to be on vacation and I ask you to please tell me when you’re back.)
  17. Have you ever heard of something called books? I got most of my knowledge from those.
  18. Buyers can leave a private review one day after an order is marked as complete. They have a big impact on your performance.
  19. I'm happy the order was canceled. It's never okay for a seller to try to cheat a buyer like yours did. In the future, you should probably choose a seller with higher prices. If somebody is still selling translations at $5 per 1000 words after gaining 100 reviews on Fiverr, there's usually something fishy going on. Not always, though. There are some sellers who keep their prices low, but translating 1000 words for $5 is a crazy amount of work for basically nothing, and it's something you'd usually see a completely new seller do to get his or her first reviews - not a Level 2 seller.
  20. Esteemed Sir, I sadly do not see your account on the main Fiverr platform. Mayhaps you have been denied entry?
  21. No, it's not allowed. It's good to hear that you got your money back, but Fiverr rarely bans people if they make them money. No matter if they're outright scammers. I have reported Danish translators who deliver translations that are done 100% through Google Translate, and nothing is ever done. I even reported a seller with video evidence that he has multiple accounts to give himself fake reviews (he had made a tutorial on how to do it...), but his profile is still active with 218 reviews. EDIT: This is Fiverr's policy: "When considering services that may or may not use generative AI tools or programs, buyers with a preference for work created and/or delivered without the use of generative AI tools or programs, should clearly communicate this preference to the seller. " And you certainly did do that. Although, I must say that this policy is kinda disgusting. Shouldn't it be assumed that what you order isn't created through AI? Now, you have to explicitly state that you don't want AI. 🤯 Well, I guess I'm gonna have to start doing that as a buyer now. Me having to state that every time is surely not going to offend any honest sellers. No way! The Community Standards used to state this: "However, whenever AI is a part of the work process, it should be proactively disclosed to buyers through the Gig description, and/or during any order requirements discussion. Do not: Mislead others about the nature of the work when it is not entirely human generated" But I can no longer find it.
  22. Some new sellers are good at what they do. That's true. However, if you've ever been a buyer on Fiverr (I've bought close to 300 gigs, so I've seen it all), you'll come to realize that a very high percentage of new sellers on Fiverr are outright scammers. And I believe Fiverr knows this too. If a seller has zero orders, for example, Fiverr has no way of knowing whether that seller is actually good. So, should they really take the risk of promoting a scammer or someone who delivers subpar work? Why wouldn't they just keep promoting the buyers that have proven that they can make customers happy?
