  1. I don't remember making any mistakes, to be honest. I know that's not what you want to hear, but I was well-prepared, having lurked on the forum for a while (without logging in) before I started selling. I also have a degree in business and had been a buyer for 18 months before I opened my first gig, so I knew exactly what to do to attract buyers. The best advice I can give to a new seller is to be a buyer first. You get a true sense of what your potential clients are looking and searching for. What profiles you might choose over others and why, etc. Also, you should learn that you don't have to say yes to every order. Some people are not worth working with and will only make your life miserable. Learn how to spot red flags.
  2. It was that, and then I read about a dozen marketing textbooks that helped me present my gigs properly and make the right pricing decisions. But I don't really make that recommendation anymore, as nobody ever listens to it.
  3. Just deliver good work and treat your clients right. That's all there is to it. Also, you won't be able to get a review if you're offering work for free. The minimum order price is $5.
  4. My oven needs to be fixed. Also, if you're up for it and I like your work on the oven, the bathroom needs to be painted soon. I'll have many more jobs for you in the future, so please give me a discount on the first job.
  5. Your negative reviews are really horrendous. I’m sure Fiverr doesn’t want to show your gigs to too many buyers… Also, good job on stealing the logo you use here on the forum. EDIT: Oh, and you’re also guaranteeing results… Your Shopify gig should’ve been removed long ago.
  6. I'm sure he doesn't know that either.
  7. Wow... that's such a laughably bad fake "official" message from Google. Report this scammer to Fiverr. You can write to CS here: https://www.fiverr.com/support_tickets Whatever you do, don't accept that order.
  8. It's definitely nice to see you again! I stopped using the forum for a while, and now it's mostly on and off. A lot of the old regulars stopped posting as well—probably got frustrated.
  9. I'd suggest they just ban them all. I know they won't, but it'd really be better for Fiverr. Just imagine a buyer coming in here and seeing all these... trying to stay civil here... uninformed sellers. They would get the impression that 90% or more of Fiverr sellers have absolutely no idea what they're doing, and it's a horrible look.
  10. This. If they could use it once for a total of 5 days, it would be okay, but as it is now they can just keep abusing it. And, to be honest, buyers should be able to check our work within 3 days, anyway. I have bought almost 300 gigs on this platform and I’ve never had any problem doing that. I respect sellers’ time.
  11. If you’re experiencing unpleasant odors, I suggest Azzaro Chrome and Old Spice Swagger.
  12. Thanks for the sarcastic response. It really is the height of arrogance to come into this forum 25 minutes after joining and then give a response like this to a seller. You have only seen the buyer side of things on this platform. You have no idea what kind of people message us. Exaaaaactly!
  13. No. We are already judged on way too many things. If I had to be scared of getting a thumbs down from a buyer without a purchase even being made because they didn't like the way I interacted, I would quit right away. Fiverr is already hard enough on my mental health as it is.
  14. IT'S PROBABLY UNLIKELY THAT YOU CAN TRANSLATE BETWEEN FOUR LANGUAGES TO A PROFESSIONAL STANDARD. ALSO, YOUR GIG DESCRIPTION SEEMS AI-GENERATED.
  15. When playing Rock Paper Scissors, I suggest going with the Scissor Sandwich gambit.
  16. You said you were leaving? Goodbye, then.
  17. I'm sorry, but the Buyer Requests feature doesn't exist anymore.
  18. who??????? 🙄 i just wonna know if i can permote in friendster or msn messenger or it wil hurt my gig???
