  1. The worst part is, some sucker would probably pay for it. Did you know that a Norwegian guy who puts paint up his ass and squirts it out over a canvas in Norway, received nearly 4 million US dollars in "art support"? Yes, that's a thing in Norway. He does it infront of an audience, too! I'm not gonna share the link here, in an effort to not get banned. But... (I google translated the page and had to struggle to find a moment during the video that didn't show his "art" in action.) So maybe selling my farts as NFTs could be a good idea. I might get millions!
  2. I would charge 1000 per minute. I absolutely hate them. I'm the same with meetings with clients. I prefer to work alone. That way, the client won't hear me burping and farting in the studio.
  3. If they wanted people to pay for more courses, they would have just not made it free in the first place. It's probably just not a high priority at the moment, and they are working bit by bit to bring the two platforms together. Remember And.co? Took a long time from purchase to rebranding into Fiverr Workspace.
  4. I did the same a while back and just came back recently as well. Main reason was that the forum is bogged down in spam and the same, repetitive content about ranking gigs, sales down day by day, congratulate me and so on. I quit social media a while back. I'm still there for work reasons, but I'm never on there for more than five minutes to do what I have to, then escape the madness. I wrote a post about it here: Honestly, the Fiverr Forum is social media. But at least I can use it to put my thoughts to "paper" by writing topics, discussing with other freelancers and get a bit of entertainment. I know, I'm breaking my own rule of no social media here, but I guess you could call it work if you're using the forum for research? Yes. I never visit the forum until I'm done with all work for the day. That means my orders need to be cleared or at least on schedule. I usually work from 10am - 3pm on Fiverr. After that, I'm just responding to messages. Honestly – if you don't have the self-control to limit the use of the forum without a plugin, you're just going to deactivate the plugin anyway. At least, that's what I would have done. I'm not going to let some plugin control when I do stuff. And yes, I might control the plugin, but that means I can also deactivate it. So I think plugins like this are ineffectual. You can just as easily set an alarm if you need a time-reminder. I can't speak for that bunch, but I think they are so used to handouts, that they don't know what else to do but to ask other people to do it for them. Try saying that three times fast. Maybe you'll get a conga! 😄 Hit me up when you get here! I live in Las Palmas. 😄 I'm from Norway, so I know how you feel. I moved to Gran Canaria. Couldn't take the cold up there anymore. It's depressing at best. When summer hits, I do recommend a trip to Liseberg in Gothenburg, though, if you like that sort of thing.
  5. You're on Fiverr, right? After all, this is a massive platform full of freelancers. So look for a top designer of gig thumbnails here on Fiverr 🙂
  6. I include two revisions, but I also inform the buyer about what's included, and what's not. Script changes = No. Instruction changes = No. Additional services = No. I make a mistake = Yes Style change if I didn't follow instructions properly = Yes (This is basically my answer to anyone who wants remote sessions - and my replacement for doing them. I hate directed sessions more than anything. They can bite me.)
  7. I haven't tried it. Frankly, I don't have the time to take online courses and it's not a priority of mine. I already record so many eLearning projects that my monkey gets his knowledge banana ten times over. If eLearning gave you a degree, I would have one in anything from IT security to BIM, wall construction and even fixing jet engines! (Okey, I'm exaggerating here, but still..) I love learning new things, so those are my favorite projects. But I never have the time to take courses myself. I wonder why Fiverr has been so quiet about it, except in the news section? Could it be that they want to integrate this thing into Fiverr Learn?
  8. I see. Even as a new seller, you need to learn to stand your ground and know your worth. Actually, telling your client in a polite manner that their budget is too low for such a project, will make you appear more professional, not less. This buyer obviously felt he could take advantage of you because you didn't do this. So that's a learning experience for you, hopefully. In the future, stand your ground. That's my number one advice. If you don't, you'll get this type of buyer coming back for more freebies. Make it known that you're a professional. You don't work for free. If the buyer just came back saying he didn't like it, ask: What did you like? What did you not like and why? How can I improve the landing page to your liking? If the buyer wishes you to do more work that wasn't in the scope of your original order, make him pay for it. Don't let buyers bully you just because you're new. And "being new" is no excuse for letting people push you around like that. You have a price for a reason. You're not doing this out of the goodness of your heart. You're a business. Act like one, and people will treat you like one! 🙂 Best of luck!
  9. Try clearing your browser cache or do it in a different browser, and let us know if that helps! 🙂
  10. Yeah it could be some bad info from some random Youtube channel. Who knows. I follow a couple of TRS channels on Youtube, and haven't seen anything like this.
  11. First of all, nothing works like magic. You need a business plan and a strategy for success. Without it, you're going nowhere. Regarding which gig niche to go for: it all depends on what you're good at! If you're an expert at drawing, that's your niche. If you're an expert in Wordpress, that's your niche. You need to decide based on what you're good at, not which keywords have "low competition". It doesn't matter what niche you're in, if you're not excellent at what you do. So tell us: what is your passion? What type of service can you offer, that you're really good at?
  12. What makes your gigs unique? What makes them stand out from the crowd? Why should buyers order from you, and not the other sellers? If you answer these questions, you could begin improving your efforts to land more sales. You need to know who your clients are, what they are looking for, and have a plan on how you're going to solve their problem better than your competition. It's called a business plan. So grab yourself a beverage, lean back, and think long and hard about these things. You might come up with some cool answers that will help you gain more business!
  13. Exactly. It's just weird. Unless we're dealing with randoms who just think repeating questions they see on the forum will get them congas and rankz.
  14. I'm almost beginning to believe (and this is just a theory) that we're looking at individuals with more than one account on Fiverr here. They don't want to explain why they ask. They have, as far as I know, no reason to ask and then leave us with no response, and the question is too similar for it to be a coincidence, across multiple posts.
  15. I wonder why. Maybe someone is afraid of having to avail their identity to Fiverr? (Not saying that's the case, just pondering the idea.)
  16. I'm just wondering: what is different now, compared to three years ago? You say you lost interest after only one, single failure. That tells me that you didn't really have a proper business plan, set goals and a roadmap to achieve them. If you're going to start over (it doesn't matter if its the same account or a new one, this applies either way) – what has changed? Do you have a business plan now? Have you made goals for yourself, a plan of action on how to land sales, how to deal with hardship and failure, cancellations and negativity? Because if you haven't, then you're really just in the same place you were before, and things won't be different for you this time around. Beyond that, I second what @joyh97 said above. Just keep your account, add something about coming back after a break, and offer some good deals to get started. Starting a new profile won't make much difference, but keeping the one you have and making it look like an even better deal than before, could just might work. But it all depends on what I was talking about: a man with a plan is a man that can. Best of luck!
  17. If you feel there are things that can be improved to get more sales, sure, edit your gig. But why are you here without a plan? If you want to succeed in business, you need to have a business plan. You need to know what you want to sell, who you're going to sell it to, what makes your offer unique and different from all the other sellers out there, and how you're going to do it. It appears to me that you have no plan at all. You're asking us if you should edit your gig. What I'm saying is: if you don't know what to do, you need to figure that out first.
  18. I've had this happen to me as well. A quick e-mail to support solved my issue as well. I know that reporting a message as spam counts as a response, but it's not an elegant solution, since it might hurt the profile of the person you have been dealing with. But hey, if CS says it's okey, I guess it's okey!
  19. I have the same. Most likely a bug in the CSS that makes the icon red. Bad vibes all over!
  20. Even if your gig shows up in search, that's no guarantee that you'll get orders. It doesn't work like that. Your gig has to not only show up, but also be attractive enough to encourage orders, not to mention the fact that your service has to perfectly match each buyer.
