Unfair Competitor

Hi! My competitor on shadow removal service on a photo has 4 shadow removal gig in a single account. I know his gigs are against Fiverr rules and it affecting my gig service too because we have the same service offer? He's unfair!

Well those are not the same things. It's not the same if someone needs a logo for their company, or for a non-profit YouTube channel with funny animal videos, or for a hobby Facebook page, or for a profitable eCommerce store. It's like offering a vintage logo, a modern logo, and so on. They're all logos, but in different style, and for a different purpose.

But having 4 gigs for removing shadows from photos definitely sounds like the same service.

is a niche gig, and that's highly encouraged by Fiverr. It's perfectly fine to have a specialized gig or few (like for a medical website, a restaurant website, a plumbing website...) plus a generalized one (like a Wordpress website).

Stop looking at others and thinking how unfair it is. Think what you can improve for yourself. 
your competitor is hurting himself because most likely he gets less exposure for having 4 same gigs instead of one.

Website is website, but someone specializing in medical websites is likely to be familiar with what medical people need on their website, which greatly reduces the back-and-forth (plus that specialist can advise their clients on best website practices in their industry).

Buyers look for a specialist for a reason.

That’s where you see them. Al people see gigs on different places. You see them on the first page other people might not see them at all.

Nah. I had a person that self-promoted his own service that was outside of Fiverr via the inbox. I obviously reported that and guess what, Fiverr sent me a warning because of that, since they said I misused the report button. I went to customer support and eventually they removed the warning, but it was a drag. So you can't just report anything or anyone unless you are 1000% sure they are doing something wrong. Otherwise you are shooting yourself in the foot, so to speak.

Creating duplicate gigs (as in, one seller creating multiple gigs that all offer the exact same service) isn't allowed.

Yeah. But they are artists. They don't make it look duplicate. They will just change scope. like "I will make logo for your youtube","I will make logo for your facebook page","I will make logo for your eCommerce stores"... Now I don't think will fiverr remove such ? As seen several of them already.

"I will remove shadows from your pic","I will change background to lighter","I will change night to morning in image"...

Also website is website whether medical, law, UK, etc. They all have same principle i.e frontend(design) and bakend(skeleton), but they are advertised differently. lol

But I can't say exactly without seeing that gig.

Okay suppose your all competitors got died somehow, then do you think will you able to steal buyers ?

Yes I know its blackhat SEO to create duplicate or little bit similar gigs. But its not illegal though. 

like they say: "I will create medical website","I will create UK website","I will create wordpress website"...

 

You can do this same as well ? Why don't you ? Go create 4 gigs. lol
