In such situations, I try to understand the client's nature. I mean as a seller we need to understand the buyer's nature and behavior like client mentality is cheap or business professional who can spend more for quality work.

If the client is professional then you can explain the exact situation but if the client is cheap-minded then you have to give more because he can give you bad review also..

Always respond to the message even if it's spam. After responding to the message, block them.

At first, How did you identify a buyer who is fake without talking?


You have to talk politely and when you understand he/she is a fake buyer then you have to convince him/her that you are busy and aren't able to start a new job.

I think if you follow the rules then your response rate doesn't affect.
