  1. Just the idea that there is a "guide" or "hidden tips" for a FORUM. I checked a competitor freelance site whose logo is also green and they surely don't have a random video on hidden tips for their forum.. Hahahha
  2. These are the Youtube videos in question, there are more but this was what I found through a quick search:
  3. This was initially brought up by @vovkaslovesnyy (Thank you by the way) but I am making this its own thread as this really needs to be looked into closer. This may be one of the causes as to the situation we are facing in the forum right now @mjensen415.
  4. Have you tried the Seller Plus Program? It has priority access to buyer requests and other features like a success manager that can help improve your gigs. https://www.fiverr.com/support/articles/360017140717-Seller-Plusoverview?segment=seller You're already quite successful but you may find the program interesting! 🙂
  5. Unfortunately, there are days @visualstudios laughs "ehehehe" too! How disappointing they have not perfected the mighty English language. 😪
  6. After this post, a couple more congress-es will appear! *Sees into the future*
  7. I see your post now, everytime a mention of onlYn and 24-7 (is put together) it will immediately go through m o d eration. Also mentioning the word m o d . Your explanation of being online makes sense. That is technically the proper way of being "online". Use the app, if you get a notification then respond when you can. Its just that, if you read enough through the forum a lot of the people who mean being online is facing in front of the computer the whole time and tinkering around Fiverr, using an auto-refresher (to show they are always online) which using such browser extension is NOT allowed. There's a lot of misunderstanding on that online tip, but the general notion for most people is what I've just explained. Sure you can make the most you can of the opportunity to get a sale through being online as how you've explained your method, that is understandable. But there are definitely other methods with higher returns to get a sale - marketing, etc. Instead of waiting for people to come to your gig, bring your gig to them. Of course there is not one fits all tip, it will be a matter of what method of getting a sale will help you out the most to get a steady profile. Its a tough world and everyone is trying to make it. As you mentioned you are full time unemployed, I am guessing Fiverr isn't your only source of income because that isn't the best idea to do anyway especially when you're just starting out on the platform.
  8. For this one, you just highlight the line and it will give you the option to quote it Hmm.. As far as I know you can't, you will have to type out the username to get the proper tag.
  9. Are you saying the Fiverr we use is sometimes not as active? 😁 Unless you've gotten a hundred or more orders from your tips, best you not share tips for now.
  10. Pushing this up because its on the fourth page right now 😁
  11. Tim, the OP is a buyer not a seller which reflects on the content written ("buyer's interpretation"). That is her perspective as a buyer. Also jazzing up your forum profile does not do much for your actual sales on Fiverr.com (the main platform). Of course you are free to discern what you think is good or bad advice. I do agree forums are helpful and a great way to help each other as a community. But just for some added perspective so you have context on the situation of this forum, check and search for the keywords "impressions" "rank gig" "no sales" or a variation of those and see if the majority of those who've asked for help have actually solved their problem and made the sales they were looking for. If you've been in the forum long enough you will notice most of the people who have asked for help have not taken the actions suggested to them. That is the better way of seeing what staying online means. But try searching "online" "24/7" and see if most of the posts mean the same way as yours. A lot of the advice here on the forum about being online is actually showing up as "online" so that when a buyer filters out the online sellers you will actually have more opportunity of getting a sale. You will also see a lot of advice about using a auto refresher so your profile shows as online (which by the way is not allowed) or even a certain amount of hours of being "online". Having a strong forum profile doesn't do much for your sales on the Fiverr platform though, even the forum administrator has mentioned that. Again, if you've been on the forum long enough you will understand the "Youtube gurus" in question are those who give advice like using extensions for buyer requests so it reveals the buyer's name and country or those who suggest using an auto-refresher so your profile shows as online. Which all by the way is not allowed by Fiverr itself. Not to discredit those that actually good advice. She is entitled to her own opinion as you are to yours. So you are free to call it good or bad advice depending on how you see it.
  12. You have been here since Dec 2020 and still not have gotten one sale, do you think it was because you were not online enough? If you read her explanation about buyer requests she meant those sellers who are complaining about not getting a sale over and over again. And if you just even read the start of the post, her main point is there. No amount of being online, buyer requests, crying on the forum will help you if your profile sucks.
  13. You don't even have one sale and you sharing tips. Probably apply those tips and actually make a sale first don't you think?
  14. Its not more of the issue of "experience" but more of they realized the seller has the lack of the skill advertised on his gig. Probably they saw through the mess. 😬
  15. Its manually chosen by Fiverr, there is no official number of days. You just have to focus on doing good work.
  16. Good point! I am for partial refunds and people deserve to get paid for what they have done as described. To add on my explanation earlier, I am okay with the way it is now wherein you just cancel the order and let the buyer purchase again. It doesn't sound too intuitive so it does sound like its worth considering the partial refund method. Its just there are so many technicalities in play I wonder how Fiverr will sort that out.
  17. Yes I receive tips from buyer. It does not complicate managing Fiverr. I just meant how do we justify how much a refund is (in complicated orders) especially custom offers? Example, $1000 gig for making a website. How will we do a "partial refund".. A refund of $400 because the seller did not include the about me page, etc. So there must be a breakdown clearly written on your profile how much each part of your gig costs. Of course it may be easier for lets say article writing. A refund of $50 because only 300 words were written. Or perhaps extras because there is a clear distinction of how much the extra costs. As I mentioned earlier, I am fine with how it is now. But interested in hearing other people's perspectives.
  18. I think it will complicate the arrangement Fiverr has for payments and gigs right now. I am fine with how it is now. But interested to hear other user's perspectives on this.
  19. Yes that's it. You have to pay it back though, it gets deducted from your future earnings. https://www.fiverr.com/support/articles/360017972518-Fiverr-Cash-Advance
