  1. Clearly Fiverr does not WANT us to all have perfect five stars. In a real *valuable* rating system, it would not be normal for everyone to have hundreds of five star reviews. It makes it impossible for customers to tell one seller apart from the rest.
  2. Top Rated Sellers get access to payouts after seven days instead of the usual 14. This is also available to people in seller plus. Early payout seems to come and go, I have a feeling there is a threshold based on the number of orders awaiting payout or something as it seeems to go away when business is slow.
  3. Charge backs are a standard part of online processing. I've worked in ecommerce for over 20 years and have seen chargebacks for the most stupid of reasons. They give the business a chance to contest it, which is worth it when you're a small business but for a large business like Amazon, Fiverr and the like they won't contest it but they usually have some automated process to "punish" the person doing the chargeback (for example, if you chargeback Apple or Amazon, they will shut down your entire account and you lose access to any digital content you have with them). You can read more about chargebacks here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chargeback Incidently, while reading this I discovered there is a name for what you have experienced. It's called "friendly fraud"
  4. Fiverr isn't "accepting" the cancellation. The customers bank has pulled the money, this is a standard process that happens in the credit card industry and the bank makes the final decision about whether the chargeback is valid or not.
  5. This sucks I'm sure, but when it comes to these kinds of things, you're probably wasting your breath because nobody in CS will ever escalate your ticket because the teams doing the banning are focused on one thing only: risk management. If your gig even remotely has the possibility of posing a risk to the company, then they will pull the plug, which their terms and conditions almost certainly will say they can do. They own the market, they decide who gets to play. The reason they don't escalate these tickets? Because that opens them up to more risk - if they tell you precisely why you were banned it gives you the ammunition you need to set up a new gig that gets around their detection algorithms. You can't negotiate with this, it's not a legal system, there is no due process. Same as when Facebook or other social media platforms decide to ban people.
  6. Does anyone else hate it when buyers use revisions to ask a question after you submit an order? Now I'm in a situation where I have delivered the order and nothing actually needs revising but somehow I have to resubmit the order so I can get it finished and get paid. But of *course* we're not allowed to submit an identical delivery because that is against the terms of service. Every time someone does this I die a litte inside. Does anyone know what happens from the buyers side? Can they still accept the initial delivery after requesting a revision?
  7. Honestly, I think the whole "anytthing less than five stars" approach is kind of messed up. When you think about it, five stars *should* be PERFECT. Nothing is perfect, nobody delivers ultimate value, perfect communication, instant response times etc. If anything about the Fiverr rating system was sane, there would be no five star scores because it would be almost impossible to achieve!
  8. This seems to be a really silly question to ask because some people in life just have messed up expectations (like for one customer of mine who expected me to impliment the changes in my audit for free even though my gig makes no mention of this). So now they can give me a poor score because THEIR expectations were wrong? That makes no sense. We see it all the time in life... people expecting gourmet food in Subway or low waiting times for public utility support lines. Peoples expectations rarely make any sense at all.
  9. If they know what they are doing, sure they might be able to help in some areas. For example, how do your prices compare to the competition? Does your image stand out? Are you using the right keywords to appear in searches? (I recently noticed I had missed a keyword, and I had a quite considerable jump in sales as a result!) However, I believe the key thing that impacts your gig is your performance. Do your buyers love your service? Do you get good reviews, respond quickly? You can have the best listing in the world, but if you don't offer a great service, it won't perform.
  10. Be patient. When you get your first order, go above and beyond to make sure the customer is happy, then more work will flow.
  11. In your case, they can see that the customer was unhappy with the results of your work (delivered in the wrong format) so they are choosing not to compensate you. Thats the end of it, theres no negotiation on this. Effectively, you have been scammed by the client. I wonder if Fiverr blocks/bans people who use chargebacks? (I know lots of other services like Apple and Amazon will do this!)
  12. I did this a while back... the number of orders dropped slightly but I got more money for the gigs I did do meaning I got the same money for less work. Thats a win for me (although I value my work/life balance!)
  13. yes - Fiverr even encourages this. However, I have to ask. Why would you? Why PAY to send traffic to Fiverr who will take a cut of your sales when you can just deal with the customer directly?
  14. From what I can tell, the biggest influence on your ranking for established sellers is your private reviews. After each sale the customer leaves a public review (that YOU and other buyers can see) and a private review. The private review is used internally by Fiverr to see how you are performing and I'm almost certain they use it to adjust your ranking. The problem is, customers can give you a five star public review and then absolutely trash you in the private review at which point you get punished and have no way of knowing why. I have had this happen a couple of times, but eventually things will pick up and your orders will resume. The only thing you can do is be patient.
  15. Did you try turning it off and back on again?
  16. This is flat out false. Being online might get you more clicks and responding quickly to customers can increase your likelihood of converting enquiries into sales but being online has zero measurable influence on your ranking.
  17. What good does this do? Does it allow you to block bad buyers from ordering or cancel their orders without penalty if they are likely to be a pain?
  18. There is no "rank". From what I can tell, the algorithm is dynamic and shuffles listings around based on what service Fiverr thinks is the best match for a particular customer, occasionally rotating in new sellers to see how they perform. If your gig isn't appealing, people won't click on it so take the time to make your listing awesome. Eventually a customer will take a chance and buy your service, then if you do a good job and get a good review, Fiverr will rotate you into the top positions more frequently.
  19. I have never offered revisions due to the nature of my service. Unfortunately, Fiverr still allows customers to request revisions. I've had a number of people use the revision functionality in the past but usually their requests make sense so I just let it go. In the end I made some small changes to my work and re-delivered it. I'm hoping the customer will just let it go with no fuss this time. If they keep messing me around I'll contact support for sure.
  20. I have a client who ordered my gig. I delivered early and then they requested a revision which made no sense and have since ignored all of my questions. How do I move forward with this order? I can't complete it, I can't redeliver the same thing, I can't get any further clarity from the customer. Cheers
  21. really think about the phrases that you use in your title... don't just use the name of the service but figure out the words that your customers will use too!
  22. I'm a seller on Fiverr, from time to time I also buy from people on Fiverr. That doesn't mean I'm scamming people. In fact, I go out of my way to treat sellers the way I expected to be treated when selling in the hope that they'll at least have a good experience when they deal with me. Now if you delivered the work and he cancelled for a crappy reason then that sucks, especially as a fellow seller.
  23. It's your right to refuse work you aren't comfortable with but the "photoshop master" was insolent and unprofressional. There's no need to resort to name calling.
  24. Just coming back to this post, so far December has been pretty quiet for me!
  25. In the western world, November and December are full of various "winter holidays". The main ones being Thanks Giving and Christmas. Lots of people take time off from their work and businesses to spend time with family or are very distracted by end of year administration (for example big companies have performance reviews and compensation evaluation cycles, planning for the next year etc). This results in a change of focus for a lot of people.
