  1. Ah shame, as this will hit your stats if they've submitted requirements. I think in future you could message CS and say the buyer has requested you complete a job that is a ToS violation on another platform. I think/hope CS would cancel it for you without stat impact.
  2. This would be great, and again maybe I'm too harsh, but jeez, if you need to be taught why deadlines are important then I kinda give up. I think fiverr does do an ok job of teaching and providing some resources already though, and there are so many free resources out there that if you want to get better there's nothing stopping you. I just think some people want to be spoon fed. Anyway, something like teaching sellers to ask the right questions though and creatively challenge what a buyer wants so as to give them a better end result would be a great thing to teach. Effectively like sales training. Or perhaps just basic business language education, like avoiding 'bro', '???' and writing in CAPS. This would also be great. Think @newsmike talked of an idea of a monthly fee, or a gig listing fee for example. Maybe the first gig is free, and it's just a dollar a month for each gig after that. Just thinking aloud.
  3. @rupa16'If in doubt, leave it out!' is a sensible approach in my opinion. I wouldn't do it. Trust your spider sense, if it seems like it might be against ToS then don't risk it. Also, given the nature of the work, then maybe this buyer will not be great to work with / unscrupulous. You have an established fiverr profile, lots of reviews, I don't think it's worth it. Also, CS can and do get it wrong occasionally, they are only human 🙂
  4. Damn you @frank_d, damn you! 😂 Maybe I'm too harsh, but if you can't keep a deadline then maybe you're in the wrong game. It's like plug sockets, we don't have warning signs written on them, and yes you have to teach children not to put their tongue or a fork in them, but if an adult is dim enough to do so, well, that's just natural selection to me. Fiverr needs to weed out these incompetent individuals IMO. Yep you do, you can even get it after you've delivered the gig. Fun! Lol fair enough!
  5. Interesting! If anything I'd have figured as a new seller you'd be doubly attentive / excited having got your first order / few orders in
  6. Ditto! Let's see though, a decent amount of fiverr users do consistently manage to surprise me 🤣 Hopefully if there are enough votes then maybe, just maybe we can get it changed... 🙏
  7. As the title suggests, I personally find these notifications unhelpful. They are spam / noise to me. What do you think?
  8. I think this thread is talking about two different things: 'Gig rank' - your position in search results on the marketplace when Buyers search for gigs. 'Seller levels' - The level you are awarded by Fiverr (1 & 2 are based on visible metrics, TRS is based on visible and hidden metrics). There is correlation between the two, but not causation. Typically makes sense to look at the entirety of the info. The fiverr team do have influence, they just call it the 'Editorial Team'. They manually review/consider sellers that have hit the fixed requirements each month. I expect (just my opinion!) they also consider the following amongst other things: have high Buyer satisfaction (private reviews) have gigs/an offering they think should be TRS high quality gig images high quality descriptions good use of the FAQs good use of requirements average selling price your category(ies) are not oversaturated with existing TRS and other mysteries! Definitely the best approach! It took me 8 months to be awarded. I had to do a lot of reflection along the way, make improvements and over deliver like hell. And the thing is I could lose it next month! It's not permanent, so it's best to not worry about levels IMO. If you get it cool, but if you don't you can still be super successful on fiverr. Interestingly my lowest revenue month this year will likely be this month, my first month of TRS 🤣 @mindskills sorry if it seems like I'm teaching you to suck eggs, you've done a lot more fiverr'ing than me so I expect most of this isn't surprising to you.
  9. Just to add, in the video I'm pretty sure the influencer was called out, not verbally by the video creator admittedly, but with screenshots of the influencers insta, name, profile picture etc so it was obvious who they were. I remember when I saw it I thought 'wow' that's brave, to not just call out the drop servicing model, but to call them out by name.
  10. Gotcha! I feel that is just his view as a buyer, or seller, or whatever. He can have his opinion, doesn't make him right or wrong, and as I said above people are free to run their business, sell how they like, and others to buy/communicate how they like. You're right, and who knows what new features and processes they will bring in. Everything changes over time. A feature where sellers can make it mandatory to message first, or where a seller has to agree to accepting an order could well happen. They brought in zoom calls to discuss requirements as just one example that promotes discussion pre purchase, and over 60% of purchases are custom orders (which shows pre purchase discussions) so it's definitely evolved a lot since it launched I just wonder (I'm not saying I'm right!) whether this will reduce fiverrs differentiation from the competition (and perhaps why they haven't implemented a seller 'order acceptance' feature). Their mission statement: 'Our mission is to change how the world works together. We started with the simple idea that people should be able to buy and sell digital services in the same fashion as physical goods on an e-commerce platform' This suggests to me they don't want a lot of back and forth communication, they want people to see a good (service) and make the purchase, in the same way you would purchase a ring light on amazon for example. Sure, some people want to ask the ring light seller whether it will fit their particular phone, but I bet once they get that question a few times the seller would update their FAQs to include this question, not want to be asked again, and instead hope the buyer just buys without communicating first. Additionally, @frank_d made some great points in his Fiverr 3.0 / 3.1 posts on how he thinks fiverr is strongly focused on the time taken to convert viewers to buyers, and not just on the number of views to conversion. Speed is the aim of the game. (Sorry if I got that wrong/oversimplified Frank, and I know it's a nuanced and complex subject). BUT, I fully accept it is 'how they started' and not necessarily where they'll end up. I guess this is the point I was trying to make, just with regards to the platform and not the seller. Obviously ideas and missions evolve over time, I just suppose I think there are lots of other platforms that operate with the 'communicate first' method, so instead of trying to strong arm fiverr buyers to behave how you want them to, perhaps it would be better to use a platform that encourages the behaviour you want buyers to have from the outset. Always! And thanks for contributing to the discussion, and for reading this far if you did, this reply ended up being far longer than I anticipated!
  11. I know the seller you’re taking of and watched the same YouTube videos. What’s interesting to me in particular is how she interviewed the influencer months ago for her channel and it was all rainbows and light, there was no criticism then of the drop servicing strategy so I wonder if something happened / changed behind the scenes 🤔
  12. Yes I believe so. Blocking is related to messaging and purchasing, but is not connected to leaving and responding to reviews. It's a an unpleasant tactic. I get this occassionally for consultancy. We complete the call, and then I get lots of messages over the coming days as people pump me for info, opinions or advice. I feel like I have to (I'm a wimp) reply politely and answer their questions. This is really toxic IMO, I think drop servicing/arbitrage is a problem if done without transparency or professionalism. I definitely noticed I got fewer problem buyers, not zero, but far fewer. The problem with revisions IMO is that the buyer can still ask for as many as they like, even if you set it to zero. Again, you're in the position of pushing back, refusing, asking for another payment once they hit the limit but you're risking a bad review. The whole revision logic is buy weighted and a little flawed (just my 2 cents).
  13. Agree completely @frank_d, I've been thinking about this a lot recently, tell us more though, what are you thinking... 🙂😉 Fiverr share price down about 80% over 12 months, Upwork 60%. Fiverr 2/3 market cap of Upwork. Acquisition on the horizon...? (I think anything could be a lot sooner than 3 years though)
  14. 'In revision' is not late. It looks late but it is not late (if you delivered on time in the first place). I do not understand the rest of your post.
  15. You joined fiverr this month. Some people wait months for their first order, you need to be patient. Research the forum for tips, lots of people have already asked and answered the same questions you have.
  16. Both my subscriptions / second orders automatically kicked in about an hour ago so they are definitely subscriptions, and they were purchased through my gig page, not a custom order. The problem I have is that they don't show anywhere until they become an active order or awaiting requirements. Yes they appear on the order page after renewing and turning into active orders again, and there is a subscription tab within each order for subscription details for that order. But they don't show until they are an active order again do they @yannisenglish or am I being dim? Yes, this is what I want, we have PRIORITY, ACTIVE LATE, DELIVERED, COMPLETED, CANCELLED, STARRED so it would be great to have subscriptions listed here too. In the meantime I guess I'll just use starred to mark a previous subscription order so I can check back.
  17. Awww @vickieito, thank you! You made my Friday 🙂
  18. That can happen, especially if you got a bad private review. Make sure your gigs are optimized and do good work. Not much else you can do.
  19. You've got to let us know how this plays out @mandyzines, I feel invested now! Aside from updating your requirements there's not much you can do. The only thing you could do is wait to review them until the tenth day (or not at all). This will buy you some time to rack up some other good reviews so that anything negative he leaves doesn't drag down your stats as much and potentially put off future buyers.
  20. Do good work that your clients like love! Assuming your gigs are fully optimized then this is the only way.
  21. Hello, a few things... You can only post your gig links in the gigs section of the forum. You made a delivery yesterday, so you've had an order already I think. Your gig title: 'I will do a complete on page SEO services 2022 on fiverr'. Is the year and 'fiverr' necessary? Customers know what year it is and it's on fiverr. Your gig description is pretty much the same as your bio. It should be different. Your gig description and bio have poor quality English. Most buyers are English speakers and look for well written descriptions. You are not using most/all of the character limit in your gig description. This is a missed opportunity. As an SEO consultant you should really know how to optimize and get results - it's what you sell after all. Search the forum, or look at the section for fiverr tips. Your question has been asked so many times already. Most of all good luck! Fiverr can be great, but you need to put in the hard work.
  22. So I hope I'm being dim but I can't for the life of me find my subscriptions. I have 2 buyers that both started a subscription last month and I completed both of their first orders in the subscription. About a month has passed and I know the next order for each is due to start shortly but I can't find them anywhere. In the help centre it references the 'order page' and the 'subscriptions tab' but I can't see this anywhere. Does anyone have any idea?
  23. This is correct, you really can't assume that this was the case. Do they sell what you sell @adxdesign, the same kind of gigs? Even if they do this doesn't mean this is what happened. But, if it was me I would be suspicious at least so I don't blame you for wondering, but you really can't know for sure.
