  1. @mariashtelle1is correct, those are good impression numbers, so clearly your gig title and tags are working.

Are people clicking on your gig? If not, I think then your gig image or pricing is putting them off.

If they are clicking and not buying, then your gig description or pricing is putting them off.

  2. If you are not getting impressions it is probably because of at least one of these reasons:

    1) No one is looking for the service you offer (unlikely)

    2) Your tags / gig title / seo etc are not good enough for buyers to find you.

    3) You received negative public or more importantly private feedback.

The only thing you can do is:

    1) Optimise your gigs.

    2) Delivery great work to great feedback.

Everyone goes through ups and down, that's the world of freelancing.

  3. You aspiring chefs are putting me to shame!

I'm having Khinkali (like a dumpling), phkali (like a vegetable dip) & khachapuri (hot bread and cheese (there's more to it than it sounds).

I've fallen in love with Georgian food, it really is very good. You are reminding me though how much I've missed ramen!

  4. Hello @vgloud,

Welcome to the forum! It's a great place to learn and discuss challenges you may face as both a buyer and/or a seller.

Just a friendly headsup that this topic is almost 4 years old so I'm going to change it to 'post approval' now.

Re your comment on the $5 becoming $10. Could this be because of a gig extra?

FYI (and maybe I'm stating the obvious, apologies if so) Fiverr charges buyers a 5.5% service fee per gig. This fee is 5.5% of the order price if it's over $50, and there is an additional $2 'small order' charge for orders under $50. So perhaps that is what you're seeing?

If the gig price is $5, then the seller is only charging $5 (not $10), and after they pay their seller fee of 20% they'll get $4 earnings.

    Anyway, enjoy the forum!

This is what we've been asking for, for a long time.

Massive agree all around. It makes sense, the below is their Q2 shareholder report. It's a great read. Usually I find these quite dry but I really enjoyed it. Think you will too @smashradio if you haven't seen it already.

The short version is that everything is moving upwards... average spend per buyer and quality expectations....

    2. Go upmarket In the twelve months ended June 30, 2022, spend per buyer on our platform increased 14% y/y to $259. We see continued expansion in wallet share across our buyer base, evidenced by spend per buyer growth across all cohorts. We are also seeing increasing adoption from business buyers with significantly larger wallet size. Buyers who spend over $10K annually grew over 60% compared to last year. The continued strong growth of spend per buyer underlines the success in our upmarket initiatives, including: investments in Fiverr Business, improvements of our offering catalog, enhancements to the overall quality of the marketplace experience, the expansion of the product capability to enable larger projects, and targeting larger customers in our marketing. Subscriptions, a product we launched over a year ago, allow our buyers to make recurring purchases from a seller over a longer period of time. We have seen enthusiastic adoption among our buyers and sellers, especially in digital marketing categories that naturally require a longer term engagement in order to drive business results for buyers. The majority of those subscription contracts reach full completion and this drives a meaningful uplift in retention and engagement size for those categories.

It's so annoying when I write a guide or helpful post, and I keep getting notifications about replies. 99% of them are "thanks" "eficient post" "good post" and so on. Completely useless. It has gotten to a point where I no longer check notifications unless I recognize the username.

    Completely agree.

Think we’re going to look at either locking posts when the topic isn’t open to debate, e.g. announcements, or require post approval.

I think people do it for forum points, which aside from being rather sad, is just utterly pointless and unhelpful to everyone.

  7. As much as my ego loves the congratulatory messages they aren't needed and in the spirit of reducing spam locking this topic seems a good move.

So, I hope you don't mind @frank_d but I'm locking this (obviously it's your topic so feel free to unlock).

The number 1 suggestion I can give you is to read through the other posts in this forum before asking for suggestions,  The people who are supporting you answer the same question and give the same advise multiple times every day.  A forum is a tool for people to look at previous posts and learn from others, not to keep posting the same question expecting a different or 'hallelujah' answer

Yes @breals!  My word it's sad how happy it makes me when I see a 'newbie' to the forum speak such perfect sense!

I then checked out your profile and I'm now not surprised, you're no fiverr newbie! Impressive profile!

Hope you hang around, this place does have some good discussions here and there (if you can cut through the noise).
