  1. Yes, but it’s probably also worth being very careful about how you reply or whether to (in case the message get flagged then the seller warned) eg. if you’ve already answered their question once, messaging them again 1 or 2 times might get the messages flagged, and if they haven’t left an enquiry then gone quiet, ie. if it’s just a long time since an order from that buyer, it’s probably best not to contact them (again in case of being flagged or getting warnings), as well as you don’t know if the buyer might be annoyed with the message. Unless you are sure they won’t mind that. Maybe Fiverr should make the system so the buyer gets the option of whether to opt-in or not to notifications (like of new/updated gigs by a seller, eg. if they’re related to a buyer’s past purchase) or to future contact by the the seller without the buyer asking a question/ordering first.
  2. Maybe because Fiverr isn’t always that clear about it. The terms of service says spam isn’t allowed but Fiverr also has seller help pages related to this. eg. https://sellers.fiverr.com/en/article/building-relationships-with-buyers https://sellers.fiverr.com/en/article/keep-in-touch-with-buyers-with-the-my-contacts-tool edit: Since sending out a message to a past buyer unrelated to their existing orders could get flagged as spam and the account given a warning, Fiverr should really change the system or remove the above help pages saying that contacting past buyers in the circumstances they mention is allowed or maybe specify more clearly in the Terms of service exactly what is and isn’t allowed (eg. what is/isn’t considered spam in relation to contacting past buyers).
  3. What’s interesting is in a few days time Gemini Man is out (shot and shown in some cinemas in 120 fps 3D, 4K). And I don’t think Fiverr supports any more than 30 fps 720p in their previews. Even YouTube supports 4K, 8K and up to 60 fps.
  4. Surely it depends on the complexity of the motion, the video codec, the duration etc. Fiverr could also increase the allowed file size above 50 MB. If you take YouTube’s minimum recommended bitrates for frame rate ranges, and I assume they are talking about H264, the YouTube recommended bitrate for 1080p (SDR) at 48-60 fps is 12 Mbps. So for that bitrate (12 Mbps) you could create a 33.33 second H264 video at 1080p at 60 fps and that would be about 50 MB.
  5. What do you mean by this “uk1000” you have to have 2 options in the poll? It said it was a multiple choice poll and I could have selected both the options in it.
  6. My chrome won’t let my rip/download the video only inspect it I’ve not installed any extensions on Chrome and right clicking once a Fiverr video has started gives an option for that in the menu that comes up after right clicking. eg. Press play on the Fiverr video then right click on the video and look at all the menu options.
  7. I agree my older gigs are unaffected. YT is free and yet virtually uncompressed. Like another member suggested, “why cant we just embed video” if this if an issue? Maybe it’s like was mentioned in another thread, they don’t want people impersonating other people, eg. people embedding other people’s youtube videos, claiming it’s there’s and they want to limit offsite contact. Also not everyone will have a youtube account for it. I wonder if the further compression of audio happened soon after they increased the resolution of the video to 720p.
  8. Since you own the video, on Chrome you could right click on the video shown in your gig or the delivery previews and save it. You could then look at the properties of the video and the properties of the audio in it (eg. MediaInfo) and compare that with the properties (video & audio) of the original and if necessary put the audio in it through something that will analyse it (eg. frequencies).
  9. You mean you have a gig info video displaying on Fiverr and Fiverr displays it at 1080p? If so, which one? What I mean is gig info videos/Fiverr’s previews (that it shows in a preview window) never seem to be more than 720p. If though the attachments they can download aren’t affected.
  10. And it will be no more than 720p once uploaded if it’s a gig info video. Obviously if it’s a delivery the attachment that they can download won’t be affected, just the preview of it. edit: Also, maybe the poll should only allow 1 option to be selected.
  11. They also resize videos for viewing. Does this include things like that? eg. if you upload a gig info video >1280x720 it will resize it to that (eg. downscale 1080p to 720p) and if you attach a 5760x1080 video in a message it will resize it to 1280x240 for playback. Or does this only take into account further compression of video/audio and ignore reducing resolution?
  12. They’re also used for customer service, which this could be part of.
  13. Affirmative. However it can help the buyers and give them answers they might need faster, which can be in addition to the seller’s responses. It can also save them time and probably money. If it benefits the buyer (and probably seller) why is it not a good idea?
  14. Not necessarily but similar. It just doesn’t need initial messages etc. or a full conversation. All it needs is to respond to individual messages from a buyer. Or maybe also take info from past messages from the buyer into account too if it was set up like that or the seller specified that.
  15. It helps them know quicker if you can’t/don’t provide a particular service, as they can then go to another seller for that service, and maybe return later for services you do provide. So they can go to the other seller now instead of in eg. 8 hours time.
  16. Okay maybe they could but there’s a limited number of chars displayed, so in your titles for them you probably can’t be too specific. The more you add the longer it can take you to visually find the one you want if you think there’s a relevant one. An auto response (or if you want to call it a chatbot but I don’t think it would be totally like that) could take the exact text of the user’s message into account and automatically (and quickly) find the best response(s) to give. And much faster than the hours it might take for the seller to give the same reply.
  17. But they can’t necessarily be made as specific to the buyer’s question and they might have to wait many hours for a response where the full answer could have been given to them immediately with a proper auto-response. Waiting eg. 8 hours has wasted their time and probably money.
  18. Even if you never say you design logos in your gig (eg. a gig where you animate someone’s logo) and you even put an FAQ line saying you don’t design logos, you can still have people messaging you asking if you design logos or to design them an animated logo (where they don’t have a logo). Also, there is very limited number of characters available in FAQ questions/answers and also limited space in a gig description. An automated response could allow better than that (doesn’t have to be as limited) and can be as specific to the buyer’s question as the seller can create the responses and give a fast answer. It could also mean the buyer won’t need to spend a long time going through everything in the gig description - the auto response could give the a fast and accurate enough answer The above thing about the logo was just an example though. There could be many times were a response 8 hours earlier than the seller’s response could be beneficial to the buyer. It could save them a lot of time and maybe also money. They might not need to wait for another message from the seller if the automated reply tells them everything required. It wouldn’t undermine the level system - it’s based on more than just response rate and Fiverr could still require a manual response if they thought it necessary. Or they could have an option like “This fully answered the question” after automated responses that they could press or not which could determine whether a manual response later was required. And that could be taken into account in the evaluation stats. Also they wouldn’t need to be “waiting” for an answer later from you. eg. if they know you don’t design logos they can go immediately to one of the thousands of sellers who do to get their logo done. It’s saved them a lot of time instead of having to wait eg. 8 hours to know the answer.
  19. But many people might not want to wait 6-8 hours or however long for a response and if a proper answer can be given right now, that could be beneficial for the buyer. There’s no point in the buyer waiting 8 hours to be told the seller doesn’t design logos if an auto-response could have told them that within a second. They could have then gone to another seller and probably had their logo designed in that time, and could go back to the original seller if necessary for services they do provide.
  20. I would if it answered my question properly and saved me waiting eg. 6 hours. Or at least gave me more relevant info and maybe let me know when I’d receive a response from the seller if it wasn’t answered properly with the auto-message.
  21. But surely it would be better for some buyers if they got the response (even an automated response) faster. eg. if an automated message was set up that could respond to particular questions in text like “can you design a logo? or design a logo…” and you have no gig for that/don’t do that (but maybe have related gigs) an automated response could probably help the buyer faster than waiting hours to be told almost the same thing manually by the seller. It would allow them to get the required gig from another seller if necessary before returning (if they want to) for any other gigs you have that might be relevant. Maybe automated responses could also deal better with spam messages that can follow a particular pattern.
  22. If you can’t get a screen/device with a high enough resolution to see it you could contact CS about the issue. eg. to see if they can change the code of the site to work with lower resolution screens/desktops. You could also try the following link and if it works, add a browser favourite for the link. https://www.fiverr.com/users/fahimmuntasir88/requests
  23. I’d change the title to say that you write articles or something instead of saying only that you do a great job in the title. In the tags you could put something like “article writing” or “research” or anything else related to whatever type of writing/article writing you do or what the articles are for eg. “website content” or the topics you are best at writing.
  24. Because you haven’t earned the required amount to be level 1 yet.
  25. It probably means you need to run a Fiverr skills test and pass it, ie. one relevant to that category. Though it should really specify whether the category you have selected is one of the categories that requires it and if so, which skills test(s) need passing, but it probably doesn’t.
