How can I prevent, that people I employ for a job here on fivrr don`t circumvent or bypass me and approach my customers themselves? / Steal my customers?

You can't.  You don't own your buyer. The only way you can keep them is if they see value in your service. A huge part of business is convincing a buyer that my service is better than someone else's.  That's marketing, not stealing.

    Hello guys,

    Hope you're ALL GREAT today.

It's my 2nd time to update daily practice plan. Absolutely, good plan is required and it'll bring a better result than previously.

    • Vocabulary Learn - Listen & Write 8-10mins
    • Follow audiobooks readers' voice-acting 10-25 mins
    • read independently 30 mins

I have no idea what will appear in future, but I like NOW and even What we do every day. The best time is to getting close your goal and achieve it one day.

    Best Wish @_@

I'd suggest that if you are wanting to practice and grow you Voice Over performance, instead of allocating time to read, you record various works every day. Select a style, listen to how the best VO artists have tackled that project, then attempt to emulate the style in recordings.  Don't copy them, but try to live in the same emotional space as them, using your own voice.

Record every day, listen back, then record again.

Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to my situation.

Hi Frida, without even looking I can predict that you are selling at the $5 price point. The problem with $5 gigs is that they attract $5 buyers, who often behave like this.  I suggest you immediately put your prices up to the $15-$20 range.  99% of these issues will disappear, plus you will appear more professional to those who see $5 as way too low to get quality work. As soon as one gets their first 10-15 sales, you need to push price to reflect quality.

    Buona fortuna

Interesting. My commercial and broadcast rights don't have the 1 year thing yet, so they must be rolling out the changes piecemeal.

Frustrating that the live direction thing was enabled for me, but I'm glad to hear I was the only one (so far anyway).

Hopefully you don't have to take a cancel on that.

Yes, fiverr does force to work on the project and have the mental burden on us.

This is beyond ridiculous. This is only said by people too weak to stand up for themselves and set limits.  Why don't you listen to people like @vickieito and @donnovan86 and realize that your way is not working.  Maybe, just maybe there are some people from whom you can learn?

I have it as an option now, but it's not something I want to offer. There's the option of Commercial and Broadcast 1 year extras now too.

It has been added to my menu of options to offer, but not activated. I occasionally offer the live direction when requested, if the buyer seems savvy enough.  I price it so most will not purchase it.

I do like the way they have now defined commercial and broadcast rights as 1 year.

So the obvious question is why don't you generate some leads for yourself, and get those amazing results to build your own business?

The fact that you are here begging for sales tells everyone that you have no idea how to generate sales leads for anyone.  Have you considered fiction writing as a gig?

AI does what the client says. We do what the client “meant” to say.

Absolutely true. But don't underestimate the power of "close enough," when cost enters the equation.

Instead we will refer to it as “Flop-opoulos.”

Holding breath: Remember 2024 is the US presidential election, so after they spin up the new COVID variant*, instigate more "mostly peaceful" riots, and park 24/7 drop boxes at every McDonald's in the country, we may, next year as Christmas approaches, pine for the good old days of Flopopoulos.

I'm new to this platform and am looking for suggestions.

We have a small project - incorporating our company logo into a classic Coors Light design - what is the best way to vet prospective designers? What questions should I be asking to make sure we get a quality product? I see lots of people very eager to take on projects, but when I look at examples of their work, it looks like something I could myself on Canva. Any tips would be appreciated.

Filter so you see only buyers who are PRO, TRS, or Level 2 with at least 200 5 star reviews. Also select USA/EU/UK  Not 100% guaranteed, but the higher priced gigs from these areas will be the least trouble in the areas you describe.

You think everyone is professional? Have you ever worked in customer service? Have you ever dealt with a Karen?

We have too many customers who think they're Kings. It's their way or the highway, even if what they want is impossible to deliver.

No, I was referring to the seller, upon whom is required to be a professional. Of course there are Karens, and grifters and cheaters everywhere.  For example, Karen goes in a restaurant, orders a big steak and bottle of wine, then says, "I don't like the way the waitress treated me", and attempts to leave without paying.  Of course, you don't stand for it.

Part of being a professional seller is knowing how to deal with the jerks.

"I want a four-letter brand name like Nike, real words only, .com only, under $20"

That's impossible! Domain speculators already bought those domains. So what do you do when that customer orders your gig?

Wouldn't simply switching on "Request to Order" fix this?

Anyone who has ever contacted CS knows they will tell you to work with your buyer or they will close the order and you get nothing.

What's wrong with working it out with your buyer?  That just requires communication skills as a business professional.

Also, the software doesn't work. If your gig offers one revision, then it should be impossible to request a second revision.

What if someone needs additional revisions beyond what was included?  Should they not be able to request them and get quoted a price to purchase them in order to get what they need for the project's completion?  This always amazes me. You guys who cry about this seem to somehow hallucinate and see the word "FREE" in the "Request Revisions" button. Why is it impossible to say, "Sure thing, that will cost $50?

Again, this simply requires communication skills as a business professional.

It's because Fiverr favors buyers over sellers.

That is completely untrue. The problem stems from sellers who either foolishly offer unlimited revisions, or are unable or unwilling to charge for revisions that fall outside the scope of what was purchased, out of some sort of fear.

  13. Unlimited revisions is the ultimate indicator that you are desperate, and unskilled.  You realize that someone can literally make you revise their $5 order every day until one of you dies, right? I'm temped to buy some gigs that offer unlimited revisions and start a blog called "100,0000 revisions" to prove my point.

Don't be desperate, don't offer unlimited revisions.  Sell revisions.

What is the recommended scope or category range for creating a gig with lower competition, given my proficiency in specific services? For example, should I target a gig range in the 7K-8K, 4K-5K, or below 1K category to maximize visibility and reduce competition?

Why not offer services where you talents lie?  Low competition is where the people faking it tend to gather. High competition is where the titans gather to beat the hell out of each other.  Your choice.

I would love to leave my designer a tip, but I find it very off putting that Fiverr charges an extra fee to do so. For a $5 tip, they add a surcharge of $2.78. That’s ridiculous. Please give the whole tip to the seller!

This point has been raised many hundreds of times, and the reason why it is not possible has also been posted hundreds of times.  Perhaps search for the answer and you will understand why your suggestion is unworkable.

Honest question (still relatively on-topic): is there any way to maybe publish content on debunking these myths site-wide? I know that Seller Plus/(and the forum) has a lot, but I'm not sure the main site just has enough and well, YouTube is easier to access.  I could even imagine comics/videos that are super short/to the point (but are also 'everywhere'... Not sure how but could it be done?

As it's been said many times, it's just not needed. I do often have a tab open myself, but yesterday I got two leads (and scored an order) while gaming and NOT being near Fiverr at all.

Especially in the beginning, it can be tempting to try things the easy/fast way, but oftentimes those are lies spread by people who 'think' they know how the site works. They don't.

Could I ask you where you've heard this? Especially as someone from Fiverr actually debunked the being active thing just above your comment - how can you prove your claim?

You have the patience of a saint.

This is a question that has been troubling me for so long.. why does Fiverr keep deranking its pro sellers?

Remember, Fiverr exposes the highest earning sellers regardless of level. PRO sellers are given the badge (theoretically) because of their qualifications, (but there have been lesser quality sellers awarded PRO lately as well, but, different discussion) so, you can become a PRO with no sales, and no sales always means no visibility.
