Wow great never knew it was that easy back then. but why is your badge level 2?

I was removed from the searches for a short period of time. Customer support refused to help and work out why I was not appearing under the ‘TRS’ writers section of the search. Since I was not appearing, sales fell. When sales fell, I was not making enough money for Fiverr and they removed my rank. It was not actually tied to the ‘cancellations’ I have on my account, it was that I was no longer making sales.

I went from 20 orders per day to a couple per week. That is when I lost my status. Up until that point, I had 98% positive feedback, which isn’t too bad.

If customer support had managed to work out why I was not appearing in the search, I could have kept my status, I guess? I don’t remember. All I recall was Ryan (head of Customer Support) saying something like “poor gig performance” and then something about how my gig was no longer doing the sales it did before. He then said “I will not answer any questions. You have your answer” (or something like that) and that was that.

Yes you are right. What I think that if a person completes the long journey to TRS, I guess it pretty much prepare him/her for that pressure which you are talking about. The fiverr levels train the users like I wasnt that busy when I was level one. At level 2, in the first month it was a little difficult, but again as I said people become used to it. So if a person is having that badge, it doesnot mean that he have it on the first day on fiverr with out going through the odds.

This is very true. I think most sellers that didn’t join years ago need a while to build up enough reputation to get TRS. I think some TRS feel the strain even after being TRS for awhile. Others seem to do great and fly right along. I do think that some new sellers who see that badge and the dollar signs don’t realize just how much work some of those TRS do. Some are able to rely on their Fiverr income full time and more, but that means they can’t risk losing their search ranking or repeat buyers. 🙂

@ryangillam You are case in point on the fact that there are no magic bullets on Fiverr. None in freelancing in general, but here if you don’t have backups or diversification, you can lose your income and not even know what to do to fix it. I’m not trying to be Debbie Downer on the thread or the badge, but I agree with @annai80 that TRS isn’t automatic bliss. Realism is important too.

In my case I don’t remember at all, in fact I wasn’t even aware there were levels.
I am sure I got some notification about it, but I guess I was too busy to even read it,
and months later I looked at my profile and saw the TRS badge…and I thought what the
heck is that??? 😛

I hope thats a joke 😲

Actually,nope, it’s not a joke.

I don’t remember getting the level 1 or 2 badge either.

I am guessing I got some email from Fiverr saying “Congratulations you got a badge,” but

since it wasn’t a “You got an order” message, I… just …skipped it… maybe…??? 😳

I cant believe people like you actually exist. I mean that’s a big achievement. So when do you came to know about this?

One thing to keep in mind is that while most of the TRS perks are awesome, there is one thing that can be tough for some people. All levels on Fiverr have requirements and if you used to meet those requirements but don’t anymore, your level can drop. For a level 1, you must maintain a 4 star rating and above and you must have a low cancellation rate. At least that is fairly measurable, and for a good seller it isn’t too difficult to maintain 4 stars. Still, some sellers lose their level 1 for a little while because of a couple of bad buyer experiences or a life emergency that makes their cancellation rate go up. Then they have to earn level 1 again. Still, that’s not too hard.

For TRS, there are no finite standards. The requirements are broad and being a representative of Fiverr can mean pressure. Maintaining a strict set of ratings isn’t as easy as it might sound. If your sales drop significantly, it’s even possible to lose the TRS badge due to poor performance. People who are TRS tend to stand out to buyers which is a nice thing, so if the badge is lost, their newer buyers might worry what happened and switch to another seller.

I’m not trying to make TRS sound bad because it’s an honor and a wonderful thing, but I’m just pointing out that some TRS feel a lot of stress. I wouldn’t turn down a TRS badge, but I’d want to be prepared for it! Some new TRS go from a large but manageable queue to a very long queue and get overwhelmed in the beginning. In that sense, level 2 is pretty cool since you can still make a lot of money if you are skilled and have many buyers. You can read the list on the levels page to know exactly where you stand every day.

I don’t know, I never worry about such things. I do my best with every order I get, that’s it. Don’t worry about badges, TRS status, how much money I make, etc. I don’t feel under any pressure because everything I do on Fiverr is a bonus. Now, if the big banks collapse in India, the real estate market suddenly collapses, the stock market crashes…then I will be under real pressure. Fiverr is no pressure, it’s fun for me.

There really are bigger things to worry about than what everybody else is doing, how much money they’re making, what their world domination is etc. It really doesn’t help to compare anything you’re offering or what you’re doing to anybody else - just enjoy what you’re doing, do your best and success will follow!

Like @writer99025 think of it as a bonus, a bit like waking up in the morning - that’s the way I look at it anyway.

Good luck!

I remember like 3 years ago there was someone on the forum posting about getting TRS and their account was 1 month old and they had like 3 sales. 🙂

True story.

Anyway, I got promoted to TRS a year and a half in.

I agree with @fonthaunt 100%, some times there’s too much pressure.

Not so much because I got a queue of 100s of orders, I think my record was like 47 orders when my gig was featured on the front page for a week, but because there’s a broad range of standards to maintain.

And to be honest back then TRS vs lv2 had a bigger difference in what you could charge. Now a lv 2 seller has the tools to make just as much $ as a TRS if not more.

The only real perk is the reduced amount of time for clearing funds.

The gold badge sure feels nice to get, but I’d definitely not focus too much on that with what I know now. 🙂

Every success has a little dirty secret. Nobody will write about this, even if you’ll find TRSs with a few hundreds of reviews, and Level 2 sellers with thousands of reviews.

I have seen a Superseller+Top Rated Seller with 300+ Reviews only and that too with 1 Negative
