We need to correct our definitions and assign universally accepted meanings to words!

I consider myself to be a liberal, secular person and would not want anyone to go through anything rough due to their religious, ethnic, or nationalistic affiliations, period. 

 

However, despite the political issues, I find it hard to consume that how the definitions of important terms such as wars, violence, the oppressor, the oppressed, and the good and the bad are different for each of us. I know I and you aren't the ones who start all the wars in the world but I believe that it's our collective responsibility to come forward and agree on such terms; a person shouldn't be robbed off their rights because of their color of the skin, their religious affiliations or the lack of it, and their nationality.

If we censor everything we say, to keep from offending others, we will reach a point where there will no longer be conversation, healthy debate, sharing of ideas, thoughts, concepts, etc.

That will create a lonely planet, not a safe one.
