Gig Active but Video Denied - help please

missjennyvoices

Question

Hello all! I have a question about my first gig. It seems that it is up & running even though I wasn't quite ready - I didn't push a Publish button or anything - it just kind of happened after I uploaded the video & edited a few minor details.

Anyway, my gig page now shows my gig as active but also says "Video Denied" underneath where it says Active.

I'm brand new to this but I have been trying to read the forums when not working on my demo so I did look to see if anyone else has asked this question and it doesn't appear that they have.

Anybody know what "Video Denied" means? I'm really hoping that it uploaded ok. I'm not sure how to get it from the mp3 that it gets exported as into the mp4 form that Fiverr wants. It looked like it went through ok but now I'm not so sure. Any thoughts on how I can get it done are appreciated.

You check this article to make sure you video follows the guidelines for a gig video.

You can pause the gigs if you don’t want them active for possible adjustments. You can also edit and make adjustments to your gigs while it’s active.

Thank you so much for the help!

I now wonder HOW to convert the file from mp3 to mp4. It looks like i'll need to download a converter. I'd appreciate any further advice where that is concerned. I'm using a laptop with Windows 11. My initial search brings up a converter on Zamzar.com but I would rather hear how others are doing it. My gig is for voiceover - I don't use video usually so I would probably only use it for gig videos.

Instead of converting I would suggest you take the MP3 file in any video editor and then add an image background to that video if you don’t have anything to showcase on the video and you just want the audio.

You can use your brand or your company identity as the background image or anything that suits your service instead of a plain black background. (Just a personal preference)

As for converting your mp3 file to an mp4 file, you can use free online converters such as CloudConvert or Online Convert to do this.

The problem is that a mp3 file is audio only. I don't think it's possible to convert it to mp3 and get original the video image.

You're probably better re-exporting it as a video format not an audio only format.

I used Canva to create an image and then uploaded that & my audio into Headliner.app to pair the two. I believe that the issue is that Headliner produces an mp4 file. I'm not sure how to get the mp4 that Headliner gives me into an mp3 for Fiverr.

If it produces a .mp4 file then that's fine for a Fiverr gig video as a .mp4 is a video file type - you can just go to the gig video section (in the gallery section) on your Fiverr gig set up and upload that .mp4 (making sure the duration is okay and the other requirements specified in the link given above). I'd preview the file first though. The .mp3 file is audio only so would only work for an audio demo on Fiverr (so you couldn't upload that in the gig video section).

It sounds like the video you uploaded was not approved by Fiverr for some reason. It's hard to say why without seeing the video but it could be because the content contained inappropriate material, violated Fiverr's terms of service, or was too low quality. You can use a video converter to convert the mp3 into an mp4 if that is the issue. We also recommend reviewing Fiverr's policies to make sure your video meets their standards. Good luck!

Follow @uk1000 Instructions explained nicely above and you’ll be able to get that gig video up and running.

If you face further complications you can let me know!

You need to check the requirements for the length of the video. That was the reason I had a problem, when I first uploaded a video. They allowed up to 75 seconds and mine was85 seconds. So I had to go back and cut the video down to 75.

Thank you for the help! I think that was another issue that I had as well. It was over 75 seconds. I've since done a better one that is 71 secs so I should be good there. It certainly shouldn't be inappropriate so I believe that it is truly just the format that it is in.

Thanks for all the help so far. I'm home from work and able to fully focus on this issue again now. I definitely do not understand what I'm supposed to do at all.

I have uploaded the mp4 I made on Headliner.app to my gig as a video but it is requiring me to add an audio file mp3 as well. I don't understand what audio I would upload there as the only audio I want to use is in my video. I feel like I'm missing something.....

If you can share a screenshot of the problem without disclosing any personal or important info, it will be easier to identify and suggest a resolution to the problem.

I apologize for not getting back sooner - I apparently am only allowed to post or reply 5 times per day & was unaware that that was a thing. I suppose I'll have to make the best of my 5 posts/replies today. That is also the reason behind the length of this post - I must get it all out at once so that everyone understands what I'm seeing in order to help more efficiently.

I'm apologize again that I am very new to this and not sure how to create a screenshot in order to share it. I'm at work right now & on a PC so I'm not really able to figure that out at the moment. If someone would post how to take a screenshot on a PC & on a laptop, I would appreciate it. The best I can do is to use the print screen function and then upload it here. I'm sorry that is a terrible way to get that done but I'm desperate to get help without wasting my remaining posts/replies for the day. I don't think it shows any personal info but it does not show my images, of which I have 3.

It seems that the work I did to edit my gig last night helped a bit because I already have had 2 impressions (still researching what those are) and 1 click so that's good, i think, but what I'm afraid of is that what the buyers are seeing is obviously not up to par as I cannot even get my stuff uploaded. I'm not sure if I should pause the gig until I can get this issue resolved so that what buyers are seeing & hearing is good quality.

I did make sure that my video is less than 75 seconds. I'm not sure that the video is the issue now. It was definitely appropriate - it did have company names but they are fake companies or it is a sample demo from voices.com so I don't think that would be an issue. The video uploads just fine but I'm not able to even save the gig because it just brings me back to where I need to upload audio and I have no separate audio to upload - its in the video I created in Headliner. It seems that both a video and an audio are required to go forward.
Also, Since the gig is active enough to get impressions & clicks, then I would assume that I could search it but I do not find it. I'd like to see what potential buyers are actually seeing right now since it won't let me fix it but I can't find it.

I know this is probably a very simple issue and most likely is my error but I'm stuck and need help quickly!

It's probably because of the category that your gig is in. In most categories sellers don't have to add an audio file but because your gig is in the voice over category it seems it's mandatory for you to add an audio only file (even though you've added a video which could have the audio you wanted). Just use the mp3 to add a sample/samples of the what your voice overs would be like - you could include different samples to what your video includes (ie. so you have a video and an audio file/files). The video could be more introducing your service.

You could try viewing some of the other gigs in the voice over category (eg. top sellers) to see what they include in the audio files and video files.

Ok. Thank you for the advice. I'll try to figure it out when I get home to the laptop that all of my files are saved to. I have paused the gig until I can figure it out as I'd like to make sure that all of my other changes that I made last night are saved and it appears that they are not so I will have to re-do all of that when I do figure this out anyway.

I had looked at other gigs in that category but I must not have paid attention to whether they had a video or audio on top of a picture. Now that I look, that may be what it is. I'm guessing that the audio is required but the video is optional & I just use the audio section for my mp3. I guess if that's how it is done, then I wonder why I was directed by a popular voiceover artist to use Headliner.app to create a video when I do not need a video for the voiceover category.....Anyway, I will play with again when I get home. Thanks again.

So I think I've got it figured out for the most part - thank you all so much for your help!!

I'm still not sure why I was instructed to use Headliner.app to pair the audio with the image I created when that was what was throwing me off the whole time but that will have to be a matter for another day.

As for right now, my gig is active but I'm not able to find it when I search using keywords - any thoughts on that?? I'd like to be able to find it to be sure that potential buyers can as well. Other than that, I'm off to the forum to see if I can find out what exactly impressions are and everything else I need to know about them....

Your gig is temporarily out of the searchable gigs. It happens when you make lots of gig changes in a short time. It will get back to normal after max 48 hours.

That is for your gig video, what the buyers will see in the search results.
