Do updating gig video's thumbnail effect the gig's performance?

Hi Everyone, so I've made this gig recently, and the thumbnail is not what I want, and in order to actually set it by my self, I've to update my gig. I wanted to ask

1. Will this editing effect my gig's performance?

2. Do editing a gig right after it's creation have the same effect as editing it after sometime?
