Some time I get orders continuously and some time I have no orders for months?

Hi!
I am full time freelancer.I provide illustration services.I have experienced that some time my sales go on fire and some time they are dead for months.I have tried my best to make my gigs according to the fiverr tips.I also send offers daily.But it seems that my orders come by chance not due to my efforts.
Suggest me please why it happens.
