I'm a very new seller on this platform, but from what I can see on the forum, no seller feels secured by the Risk team which you mentioned as an advantage of the website. If fact every post in this forum is about the website working more against the freelancers than for them. So in this situation why would anyone want to bring their client here ? Even in movies when they pay the mafia they expect proper protection 🙂 Now imagine if a small shop would pay mafia and mafia instead of protection, would everyday come up with new laws that would protect the ones who attack that shop, would that shop pay the mafia again? Would they suggest their friends to pay the mafia ? Or would they look for other mafia gang ?....

Should I block this buyer who's showing many red flag
biaynamahari replied to bobipineman's question in Questions
Trusting your gut is always a good idea :) She seems someone who I wouldn't like to work with. I never knew someone can be blocked here but it sounds like a good idea, because as I understand you can be hired here without a question if they agree to pay for your gig as much as you ask, and this is not a client I would ever like to have, especially after long negotiations like in your case 😞 -
If I was able to do half a logo, I would show it to ask if the direction is right, I agree that it may help. That's what I was talking about. With the logos unfortunately it's not possible.

Unfortunately it doesn't work with design, I wish I could send half a logo 🙂 But I either have it or not :))

Etiquettes for navigating ratings and reviews from buyers
biaynamahari replied to Kesha's topic in Sellers Best Practices
Ok this is the topic I really needed. Though I submitted a claim already, but I'll try it here too. I got a flag for manipulating rating and this are exactly the words I wrote to my client (who is also a designer and literally forgot to write the review): "Can I ask you to leave a review ?:) It's very important for me on this stage." So where in this two sentences has fiverr seen manipulation can you please explain ? I never asked for a "good" review, never said I would do something extra or less depending on the review. Does this mean I'm not allowed to talk about the review at all ? Then how I'm supposed to remind those who just forgot ? Winking ? I'm too far they may not notice.- 172 replies

I found the perfect time to join haha:))

Can you please explain what you mean ? I'm new as I said, I'm trying to understand what has changed, so far I only know everyone is unhappy:) So the ranking system is more sensitive to accidental bad reviews now than it used to be ?

This is interesting. Do you mean you agree to do free samples or you suggest free drafts for people who have intention to hire you ? I think these are two very different things and may work very different ways.

I created a topic yesterday about this but it disappeared. I'm not sure how moderation works here so I'll try again. I've been contacted by a client - which I was very happy with, because I'm a newbie here. After discussing a few things they asked for a free sample. The price I charge here so far is very low compared to my normal life price, so I politely refused. So I wanted to ask if there is anyone who actually gives free samples and has seen any good outcome from that ? Isn't it a red flag not to work with a client that asks for free work ?

Read all the comments, s0o apparently nowadays if you see someone walking in a street with no direction, it's most probably a freelancer 🙂

1. Make sure you have a proper breakfast and morning routine time before you grab your phone and jump into the business stuff. 2. Don't forget to eat. And eat without any screens, something nice and healthy. 3. Have a dog. Your dog will remind you occasionally that there is a much more beautiful world to enjoy, and walking him or her is a good excuse to get out of the devices twice a day, love someone and feel loved 🙂

How many sections does your buyer requirements have?
biaynamahari replied to mandyzines's topic in Lounge
I have 5 + fiverr ones, but I think the purpose of FAQ and Requirements is quite different. I use FAQ mostly to clarify terms from the price tags that may be unknown for some clients, and Requirements to ask questions which will help me start the job without even speaking to the client. I think it's important because the time count doesn't start until they answer, and if they disappear right after hiring you, with proper requirements you will still have enough information to submit a proper result. -
Finding a REAL EXPERT among new sellers
biaynamahari replied to gina_riley2's topic in Tips from Buyers
Just wanted to add that actually contacting the seller before the purchase and asking a few questions may help you understand if the person who wrote that gig and account description texts is the one who will be doing the work. Also I would like to dispute a little the "I would do the best work" part haha, as I was writing my gig text just a week ago and I'm pretty sure I included something like this 🙂 I totally agree with the unlimited revisions part, but both - the unlimited revisions and the "best work" are so common among other accounts that when you are a newbie, you are afraid you won't win in that "fight" for the place under the sun without loud expressions like that. -
Hey, I'm a Buyer as well, maybe a Top Buyer? probably...
biaynamahari replied to manuelmarino's topic in Tips from Buyers
Unfortunately nowadays many people tend to forget that we are all humans after all. I have many clients that I have long term relationships with ( not on fiverr, I'm new here ), and there is always a difference when you actually love the human being behind the job, you are trying slightly better and there isn't any intention behind that, it just happens naturally. -
How to get exactly what you are looking for!
biaynamahari replied to barrelofmonkeys's topic in Tips from Buyers
Just want to add another thing from a seller's perspective. Sometimes useful to pay attention at new accounts with no history, because there are many great professionals that are just starting their fiverr career and have very low rates set to get reviews for their orders. You may have chance to get high quality work for very low rates. For example I have logo design gig now where the minimal package costs 5$, but in real life my logo design work costs around 600$ and more. So just go through accounts, look at portfolios, it might help you find gems 🙂 -
How to identify customers with unclear needs in advance?
biaynamahari replied to lee_petrovich's question in Questions
I added required questions before the start of the project, I'm still nue on this particular website but I'm not new in online freelancing in general. Asking as kuch questions as possible and not starting before you have all the answers is the key I think.
