  1. It almost and always felt like they were trying too hard to give us some namesake features, which give us the delusion of control and command over our business!! While for real, we continue to remain at the mercy of private feedback and whims of the buyers.. 🥲
  2. Been wondering if they sent out the email by mistake to a few and not YET realized it!! I vaguely remember people receiving an email by mistake a few weeks/months back and later SM's provided clarification about it and asked peeps to ignore it. Though, I can't recall what that mail was about.🙈
  3. OP is NOT fluent in the language like he claims to be on his profile but he is trying his best!!
  4. Generally, it gets deducted from the Fiverr balance for most sellers. But since you're new, you possibly need to make payment using a credit/debit card which qualifies for international transactions.
  5. Work is work, it doesn't matter where it was done. Just remember to get the consent of the client whose work you are showcasing and avoid showcasing any information which might be proprietary, copyrighted or internal to a business.
  6. Seems like the curious case of transparent seller segmentation done by the jazzy AI. 😎 Maybe it is an April-full-joke on a selective few of us like @catwriter had predicted!! 🥰
  7. Obviously, if Fiverr has flagged your account for violation of TOS - they will NOT SHOW your gig in search results either. Also, don't obsess so much with impressions, clicks and search ranking - quality of your gig and your skills matter much MORE than where or whether gig shows up in search results or not!!
  8. SCAMMER account!! Block and report immediately.
  9. Its a SCAM!! Report and block it.
  10. Seller Plus Standard is now anyway available to one and all. They should just turn that ON for everyone as "platform usage fee". (Except for the premium subscribers. They are anyway on the hook, on a different tier) After the outrage, they can waive the fee for anyone doing more than a certain amount (i.e. $200) every month. All this will create value for shareholders too and delight them immensely. 😇
  11. A couple of observations about your gigs: 1. Your portfolio is brimming with experience and top-notch work but gig thumbnails can be sharper. A typical search page typically shows 50+ gigs, so your gig thumbnail is your best bet to stand out from the competition. 2. Your pricing seems to be very steep compared to the marketplace. May be some research in your category will help. 3. Your experience can help you qualify for "Pro Freelancer" catalogue (link). I'm not sure whether applications are open right now, but you can consider applying for it. It will help you stand out in the crowded marketplace.
  12. Just adding one more pointer to what @vickieito said - Many people have faced the issue with their mobile number too. Their number might have been in use/connected with other Fiverr account(s) in the past. Many mobile operators recycle the previously used numbers again in the market as NEW numbers.
  13. I'm sorry about what happened, this is definitely NOT ok. I hope you reported them to the support. @Lena Just looping you in here, just in case @quereddy needs help.
  14. Who told you it is required?? 🧐 And why??
  15. Coupons just facilitate simple discounting on order price between buyer & seller. Fiverr's commission will remain same always. Were you guys expecting Fiverr's commission to get adjusted against the discount in pricing?? PS Yes, we can directly reduce the price too without using coupons. Coupons just formalize it and may be give little bit of feel-good factor to the buyer in the invoice.
  16. I understand but it is not about you lacking anything on your part or not going out of your way to delight the buyer. I'm sure you did your best but sometimes buyers just fill the form carelessly or even intentionally - we can't do much about it, in either case.
  17. 1. 4.3-stars isn't really a LOW or bad rating. 2. You shouldn't specifically quote the rating and ask the buyer why they gave a certain rating!! It might get your account flagged for manipulation.
  18. I won't be surprised if a vast majority of sellers still don't know much about the system and its terminologies. Human thought process is quite LINEAR usually and multiple changes like this system would baffle them. Plus, they haven't lived through 150+ pages of rants, discussions, hypothetical theories, arguments etc etc etc like us, on the forum😎 .. since the V-Day!! 🥰 We kinda have a head start of precise 45 days on many people. 😂
  19. Overall, the marketplace is extremely crowded in most of the categories and even levell-ed up sellers have to battle the extreme competition for orders!! e.g. in my category, there are 17000+ gigs and 3600+ of them are Pro/TRS/Level2/Level1 - so in real time, my gig is competing with 3700 other gigs (alot of them have 500+ reviews too) to even fetch an enquiry or a click!! All I mean is - grass is always greener on the other side. I empathize with how you feel and understand it but it doesn't get easier even after you climb the levels!! PS In my opinion, new sellers listen to the outside Fiverr gurus and come very rigidly & excessively prepared about technicalities i.e. optimization, keywords, impressions, clicks, seo etc but the vast majority of them lack basic reading-comprehension skills, broad business perspective & work experience. Their profile names often have words like 'expert/pro' but their skills aren't even beginner-level in most cases.
  20. I was about to reply but then read @donnovan86's reply, who pretty much shared the same thought I had in mind!! Someone elderly I'm acquainted with lost $2500 to a phone scammer last year who had cloned the voice of a known person. Generally, around the world, older people fall for scams easily (this one originated in my own country).🤦‍♂️
  21. Agree on the former part. 💯 But on the later part - its one thing to believe that goliath is the good thing and that is the only good thing (the syndrome bit); and it's another thing to know the difference between good n bad realistically and yet using it for own benefit in the best possible way!!
  22. The natural and instinctive human urge to have the visibility and control over things can actually become a headache. Everyday when we look around, we see so many sellers turning up on the forum screaming... "I demand transparency from Fiverr!!" 🤦‍♂️ Alot of these demanding sellers are actually quite delusional about the power-equation between sellers & the platform. 🫠 But just picture this - Imagine they release a list of 150 data points that the success score is based on and each has variable weightage, and they are all interdependent too (when impact of one data point decreases, another one gains weightage and impact). And they all operate in unison with interdependent triggers. Once we know these data points - our mind, focus and energy will be ALL focused on managing them and their effect - plus throw in the stress of ongoing orders, whims of buyers, imminent private reviews and cancellations into the mix. It will actually drive us nutssss!!!! 😂 We will all get caught in So its better for our own good that we don't know how the success score works and can ONLY focus on what we have been doing since always - communicate well and deliver good work which meets/exceeds the brief. 😇
