  1. You just have to scroll to the bottom of this very page...
  2. Yes it does. You claim to be an SEO expert, yet can't get orders? It is rude to try to charge people for a service that you can't even do for yourself.
  3. Thanks for pointing that out. I have many times railed against sellers who "sanitize" their reviews by offering refunds in an attempt to hide their screw ups in order to try to present a false set of "perfect" feedback. Bravo! It is completely dishonest.
  4. No, it would be a copyright violation. Nothing as dramatic as you describe.
  5. Best tip I can give you is to ignore nonsense like this:
  6. Please tell us how you alert that you have edited you gig?
  7. Are you suggesting that your correction has enriched them with Fluent English skills, and they will now deliver quality work? Please at least take my question seriously. You are enabling fake claims.
  8. Hey @uk1000 I have a question for you. Here we have a seller who is: 1. Trying to sell writing services in English as a professional. 2. Clearly not fluent in English, obviously struggling with tenses, verbs and basic grammar. 3. and of course, claims to be.. Why would you consider it a better option to rewrite their mangled English, helping them mask obvious deficiencies and dishonesty in order to sell some poor sucker a writing gig? A gig which which would of course deliver a product containing mangled English? Would it not be far superior advice to suggest they not lie about being a native English speaker?
  9. No, they didn't, just looking at your own screenshot. You are at a 4.3, with 8 reviews, and one is a 3 star while another is a 1 star. Looks like product and service quality may be your issue. But don't be in denial that "all" left positive feedback.
  10. So the correct point is that a good gig image can drive clicks, not sales, which is what OP asked. Once the impression converts to a click, a good gig image will not be the biggest factor in converting to a sale. That is centered around price point, actual experience and quality of product and reviews. You are not wrong in your answer, but you are applying it to a different question that what OP asked.
  11. I never said it was bad advice, I was commenting on the nonsense point that it is the biggest factor in getting sales.
  12. Don't know, but I'll be they can spell the name of the platform correctly.
  13. I have a question. You have been on platform for close 16 months without a single order. Why would you even think of offering success tips to others? Especially when the advice is nonsense? Quality of services and pricing, measured against your competitors is the biggest factor in getting sales, not gig image. Neither offering nonsense advice or posing as a successful seller ever results in sales, so please don't do it.
  14. There is a tremendous peace of mind that comes from not taking the bait and just politely saying, "I understand, there are lots of sellers within your budget here, good luck." It is almost certain that the people who want discounts will also nag you for free revisions, etc...
  15. Most people will report you as a spammer and you would rightfully get your account banned. Panhandling is not allowed. You are supposed to grow a business, not beg people for castoffs.
  16. I would suggest you begin by removing the obviously untrue statements from your profile, starting with this one:
  17. The problem is that an agreement is only as good as the parties who sign it. In the legitimate Voice Over world, this would carry some more weight and enforceability (in the US only) since you are most likely dealing with known entities. Here in the anonymous world of Fiverr with no vetting of buyers and virtually none for sellers, you would likely find that it would be impossible to enforce even if you could prove that you were cheated on such a deal. While there are many honest and professional buyers on Fiverr, those, by definition would not likely be the ones to use your voice in an unauthorized manner. It is Fiverr's army of not so honest buyers that you have to worry about, because they will happily sign such a document with the intention of violating it immediately. And even if you were to somehow discover unauthorized usage, can you imagine the costs involved in even pre trial discovery on an international copyright case? That would be a huge expense not even considering that an actual lawsuit would be ridiculously expensive and nearly impossible to win. For example, you make $300 on a VO and then suspect that some guy in China stole your voice? How would you even start? Most US corporations cannot stop the knockoff trade even with the supposed cooperation of the Secret Service, but at least you can get a nice Rolex for $25 in Times Square.

  19. No. The idea is to make sure that only quality sellers get TRS, not everyone who meets the minimum requirements just to be considered.
  20. I realize you accidentally agreed to the cancellation, which is unfortunate, however if this happens again, I'd suggest you do not agree to cancellation and respond with the following: "This order is not eligible for cancellation. Please note that when you joined Fiverr, you agreed to their terms of service (TOS) and it is very clear as to why this order is not eligible for cancellation. it states, “orders are not eligible to be cancelled based on the quality of service/materials delivered by the seller if the service was rendered as described in the gig page." https://www.fiverr.com/terms_of_service Sometimes we have to remind them that they are paying for the taxi ride whether they like how we got there or not.
  21. Are you seriously not able to comprehend an example? Let's try this. Their forum, their rules. Otherwise, you can stat your own platform and forum and write anything you want. This is fairly simple stuff.
  22. You certainly have freedom of speech. The common misconception is that people feel they deserve freedom of speech in a venue that someone else owns and pays for. For example, The New York Times can print whatever they wish, and exclude whatever they wish because they pay for the printing presses, paper and digital assets. Freedom of speech does not mean you get to say what you want in the New York Times, it means you have the same right to start your own newspaper and take whatever opinions you like at your own expense without government censorship. Plus you can tell the New York Times to kiss your behind if they demand space in your paper.
  23. You are consistent, if nothing else. Let's play. I'm a buyer. Why should I buy from you instead of one of the 100,000 people already selling the exact same service?
  24. Then you should look at the TRS/PRO sellers in your vertical and make sure you are delivering higher quality than them, at an equal cost per sale. You have to be better than those who got here before you.
