Navigating Injustice and Seeking Fairness on Fiverr's Platform

Fiverr has been a lifeline for me during one of the darkest chapters of my life. After being diagnosed with stage 2 cancer and enduring personal losses, Fiverr provided not only a source of income but also a beacon of hope and resilience. I found solace in my work, allowing me to channel creativity and passion into meaningful projects. I cherish the bonds I built in my short time here and had the chance to deliver the best quality work.

However, since the new update, I now find myself grappling with an unjust predicament. My account, which serves as my professional identity and a symbol of my perseverance, has been wrongfully flagged by Fiverr.

"After careful review, your account has been flagged due to activities indicating a connection to violations of our Terms of Service or location inconsistencies. Consequently, your participation in Fiverr's level system is permanently restricted."

What do you mean? I've been here for about 2 years and have never received a warning. I traveled between cities and went out of the country once. Doesn't Fiverr promote the nomadic freelance lifestyle?

Upon further inquiring about this, they responded with:
"Your account was flagged for being connected to another account that was disabled due to a violation of our policies."

Are we playing a game of contradictions or are we just keeping things interesting? It seems even the guidelines you set can't keep up with the ever-changing roles. Could it be that's why we're shuffling through managers like a deck of cards?

Despite my attempts to engage with the support team and provide clarifications regarding alleged location inconsistencies, my explanations were blatantly dismissed. Shockingly, the support team failed to furnish any substantive evidence indicating a connection to a disabled account, opting instead for baseless assertions. This disregard for due process and lack of transparency are deeply troubling and unsettling. I was the first one and still the only seller from my family on Fiverr. I've encouraged close ones and helped set up their accounts on this platform as well. Does that put them in danger? Am I the virtual version of CoVid that puts anyone in contact with me at risk?

Is borrowing a Wi-Fi network or lending a helping hand now a punishable offense? Instead of playing judge and jury behind closed doors, why not implement a transparent system where potential red flags are visible to all, sparing us from surprises no one saw coming?

As someone who has relied on Fiverr not just for financial stability but also for emotional support during challenging times, this unwarranted flagging strikes at the core of my trust in the platform.

What am I supposed to do next? I reopened my ticket, only to have them stand me up and mark it solved without providing any evidence. Do I reopen it or lodge a new complaint? Is it even going to be worth it as they are going to hit me with generic templates that don't even address my concerns?

Or

Do I say:

It is, what it is.

and move on.

Yours, crestfallenly,
S00di0

Congrats Fiverr, you broke another person and become a cause of depression.

It is extremely disappointing behavior of Fiverr.
Any sane-minded person can manually review the account and can tell if they have any links to other accounts or not.
What proof fiverr has that the person is linked to another account.
Or atleast they should give the chance to seller to prove their loyalty with the platform by taking id card , address and bank account verification

Fiverr support is useless they never actually review the profile and case they reply the same thing to everyone.

Why would a single lady would try to cheat the platform and what benefit she would have gotten from it?

These new modifications brought confusion, but I see that your profile is active, still level 2 and you got great rates, so I'm not sure if that warning did anything to your account. Do you have a standard amount of impressions/clicks/orders?

bro the fan fact is I've got the same answer as the guy who created the post same thing and closing the ticket, I gave Fiverr my ID and a photo of mine holding it 6 months ago so that was useless since that was not going to benefit you at ALL or I think they are just collecting data to sell it later. most of flagged accounts don't have a TOS or warning I think they just wake up and click lets run the new system.

Hi.
It's not a warning, I haven't received any warnings. And I'm not sure why it's showing as active to you but next to my level, I see the account flagged. Attached below is an image for reference.
As for my impressions/clicks, except for 2 gigs, they were down from the 14th till the 18th. Now they're back up. And the conversion rate has dropped.

It's good that the impressions are going up. I hope that you will get "noticed" enough after de-ranking, and I hope that similar cases will get reviewed because suddenly it seems that a swarm of sellers has been recognized for breaking these identity/double account rules. Us mods can't do much about these recent changes, these days we are learning these new rules. It appears that CS thinks that you have/had another account.  Can you remember maybe opening another account, years ago etc?

Don't worry, the "flagged" thing is not visible for buyers.

you are the only one here who has the best answers because you're talking like a real human being not copy-paste and ..... I really appreciate that for my account got flagged without warning and I only have one account made in 2019 for buying and this one for selling none of them got warnings. i reached to cs they said the same thing to me copy and paste. but if Fiverr detects accounts by IP address then that is not reasonable since I work using my university wifi there a a lot of guys also using Fiverr with there same IP addresses. and even though the policy of Fiverr says a flagged account needs at least 2 warnings for the same mistake.

Jumping in to say I think that's the problem @yonixer. You can only have one account. You're supposed to use the same account for both buying and selling. You're not supposed to have an account for each. Maybe that's not the problem, but I think it might be.

but they say that my account was disabled and I've deleted long time ago.

Note: Before you can create and sell Gigs on Fiverr, you'll be required to create a “seller” account. Learn more with our Terms of Service. Fiverr allows you to create a buyer account, a seller account, or a buyer and seller account. However, you can also have a separate Fiverr Pro account.

Again I could be wrong (it's all a bit crazy right now) but I think this means under the same user name.

I joined as a buyer on Fiverr, and had my buyer account, then I wanted to also sell so I had to activate being a seller under the same account/username.

On my one/current account I can toggle between being a seller (and seeing all the seller stuff) and being a buyer (and seeing all the buyer stuff).

Ah ok, so maybe that isn't the problem. I'd be confused as well.

yes. i know why before making this account in 2021 I deleted the old one permanently so I could make another seller one with a different PC and stuff but first, the cs said due location and then after I provided all the proof they said your account is flagged due to a disabled account MY tos is 30-30 and I have no active warnings even no warning for the past 3 years.

Thank you Milos for your genuine response. It's heartwarming to see a human responding.

Either they should make the criteria visible for us sellers to identify the problem ourselves or they should be transparent enough to let us know the exact rule we broke and how.

I started freelancing in 2022, about two months after my chemo ended and wasn't even an active user for about 6 months. Before my diagnosis, I had a job so never really had any reason to freelance. So no, I haven't opened an account here or on any other platform. That I am 100% sure of.

Just like you said, I am hoping as well because there is nothing else I can do but come on, they're excluding me from the level system based on something that's not even true! It's disheartening, confusing, and adding to my depression. We all have a life outside of Fiverr and this just seems like an uncalled-for accusation on baseless grounds.

CS isn't responding to my ticket, even though I opened it twice only to have them mark it solved. Do you think I should lodge a new complaint?
