A Guide to Help You Navigate Recent Forum Changes

As you know, we’ve implemented significant changes to the forum’s layout and organizational structure. To help you navigate these updates conveniently, we’ve compiled a comprehensive guide that breaks down the current structure of the forum.

Before we dive in, it’s important to differentiate between the various components of the forum:

  • Sections- The main hierarchical component of the forum which houses various boards. Examples of different sections within the forum include New Users, From The Community, and Fiverr Wins.
  • Boards- These are specialized areas within a section. For instance, within the New Users section, you'll find two separate boards: New Member Introductions and Starter Questions.
  • Threads- These are individual discussions or topics initiated within each board.

Keeping this in mind, we've structured the forum to include the following sections and boards:

  1. New Users- This section is designed specifically for those who are either newcomers to the Fiverr marketplace or the forum
    • New Member Introduction- in this board, new users can break the ice by introducing themselves. This category is not for requesting help or advertising.
    • Starter Questions- This is where newbies can ask for assistance from the community to help them find their groove
  2. From the Community- This section serves as a haven for community members, both new and old! It’s where you can speak out, share your expertise, voice your concerns or tap into the wisdom of your fellow members. It is broken down into the following boards:
    • Lounge- previously known as Casual Conversations, this is where members can come to mix and mingle, discussing anything from their experiences on the platform to their hobbies offline.
    • Questions- This is a space for both buyers and sellers seeking to get their questions answered by the community.
    • Tips from Sellers- This is where sellers can share valuable tips and tricks acquired along the freelancing journey.
    • Tips from Buyers- Buyers can use this board to share valuable insights that may benefit other buyers.
    • Gig Advice- Freelancers looking for guidance on setting up, improving or troubleshooting the gigs can ask the community for help on this board.
    • Feedback- Users are encouraged to share thoughts and concerns about the platform in the section, which is divided into the following boards:
      • Forum Feedback- Share thoughts, questions and suggestions about the forum.
      • Fiverr.com Feedback- Share thoughts, questions, and suggestions about the Fiverr platform as a whole.
    • My Fiverr Experience- A casual board for users to share experiences, stories, and engage in general discussions.
  3. Fiverr Wins- Celebrate your recent accomplishments on Fiverr in this section, divided into:
    • Seller Wins- A place for sellers to share recent victories and happy moments
    • Buyer Wins- A board where buyers are encouraged to update the community on highlights from their Fiverr experiences.
  4. From the Fiverr Team- This section includes curated sections and threads from the Fiverr Staff.
    • News- A board where we will give you the scoop on all things Fiverr, featuring everything from new product rollouts, system updates, breaking news and more.
    • Fiverr Excel- This seller-centric board is where Fiverr freelancers and employees can network and understand how to maximize the Fiverr experience.
    • Seller Best Practices- Sellers can learn the secrets from Fiverr Staff on how to elevate their freelancing journey.
    • Buyer Best Practices- In this board, buyers can get staff-approved tips on making the most of their Fiverr buying experience.

Niche sections such as Verticals, Fiverr Select, and Seller Plus remain unaffected for now. However, anticipate improvements to these communities in the near future.

@Kesha

I do want to ask something, why is there no vertical for Writing? There are separate verticals for designers and logo makers, however none for writers. It would be great if we can also have a vertical for writers in that Verticals section.

I always like the improvements and updates. The new layout is minimal and kind of good.
More organized, more easier. Thanks to the team!

Hey @donnovan86! That's a great question. The existing vertical boards are the ones we received specific requests for. I understand there are several writers on the forum so it's definitely something we can look into adding soon!

I think that's why the Club got made, because there was no Vertical.
