A buyer asked for a revision after I delivered. What can I do to make it not show as late?

Question

The buyer asked for the delivery to be revised despite giving me freedom to create the story after I sent them the synopsis of the story I was going to write. The parts they want edited are integral to the story and I would have to basically rewrite it. What can I do to get more time? Is there a way to say no to a revision?

What is your policy on revisions? It has to be clearly written on your gig so you would have a strong explanation if you would allow revisions, what does a revision cover, etc. You should honor revisions if you've included them in the package.

If you've delivered the project (as in you really used the delivery button) any succeeding deliveries are not considered late. You might see that word late but it isn't technically late anymore and will not affect your delivery on time stats. Late deliveries only get counted based on the first delivery.

Firstly, if they want more work than what was agreed upon, you should be paid for it. This depends on the contract/agreement you made with the buyer and the conditions set in your gig, including if you've actually detailed what does and what does not count as a revision.

Concerning the 'late', as long as you've delivered the order through the delivery button before the original deadline, then the 'late' doesn't count.
