Getty images problem

hello all.
today a buyer ordered a gig and bought the option of stock image.
but now he wants a picture which is not available on fiverr’s getty image option.
(he sent me the gettyimage site link)
now what should i do.
i cant buy the image from gettyimage directly cause i wont get paid here (and picture’s price is 500 usd there by the way)

any advice???

Yeah, I think the price tag might have something to do with it.

Just tell him that you can’t do it because it’s not available, and if he wants the picture so much he can dig into his own pockets (don’t say the last bit). If he gets pissy about that, contact Customer Service for additional support citing unreasonable demands outside the scope of etc.

Getty (and Shutterstock) images is mainly rubbish, soooo artificial and 1980s. There are some awesome free stock photo sites with better and especially more original work, submitted by skilled photographers and pro’s worldwide.

I take offense to that as a Getty photographer. Their library is huge and goes back a long time, the reason for some dated stuff. There are plenty of current images as they are always updating.

That being said, I agree there are some great free sites too. My favorite is http://www.freeimages.com/

I always tell clients that if Getty via Fiverr doesn’t have what they need, they can buy it direct and just send it to me for the project.
