Buyer sent me this email

It's a scam message from someone trying to get your details and then probably try to scam you by taking money out of your account if you followed their later instructions.

Since you've already reported the message I assume you already suspected it was a scam message. Since it's already been reported there's no more you need to do (unless you want to report it to CS at the help desk). It might or might not affect your response rate if you haven't replied.

I had a few customers to asked me for my Email address or even Whattsap, just to skip paying Fiverr commisions.  With really creative excuses, and more people  than you can imagine.  That, tells a lot about the buyer, Huge red flag.

Today I got the same experience. A client just asked for my mail and when i told him that it's against fiverr rules and regulations so I can not give him may mail he also send me this SS to prove his point.

This is out of fiverr rules and regulations.

Always steer clear of people who seem like they might not be real buyers. Genuine buyers will follow the platform’s rules.

I have also received several such messages, many of them are adding screenshots that they are editing and making a table, asking for mail addresses. These are scam messages, Fiber never wants sensitive information.

Sometime ask some buyer for email but I didn't share it. Really some buyer won't understand Fiverr system and my one ask for download system in Fiverr. If Fiverr allowed a verify email, I think it's not bad.

@shahnasar The buyer wanted to order , but he said fiverr wanted my email address for the payment, LOL. and FIverr didn't restrict my account

It's too risky though, Isn't it?😕

Why should anyone take such risk when there is even a slides chance of being account restricted?🙄

Although it's forbidden on Fiverr to share personal information like email, you can still use your email for work purposes.

For what purpose he is asking for? if there is any solid reason behind this then you can mention it in your conversation with the client when you are given an email address. so, probably fiverr will not restrict your account.
