Learn the signs and red flags of a scammer. Know the rules (ToS) of the site. If there are no triggers, proceed with caution. 

Make sure your gig is set up with no weaknesses that attract scammers, like unlimited revisions or money back guarantees. Proceed with caution. 

If a potential Buyer actually places an order through Fiverr, you'll see it in the orders page. Even if a user isn't a malicious scammer, they might still be a bad buyer. Proceed with cautuon.

A lot of 'knowing' comes down to experience. If you prefer to learn from other people's mistakes, rather than making them yourself: be ready to read. a. LOT.
