Shopify is better for setting up an e-commerce store quickly, as it is optimized for selling products online. WordPress offers more flexibility and customization options, as it is an open-source content management system that can be used for building many types of websites. However, WordPress requires more technical skill and effort to customize for e-commerce versus the out-of-the-box Shopify solution. Ultimately, Shopify is better for selling products fast, while WordPress provides more long-term flexibility if you have the skills to build custom storefronts.

There are lots of CMS in market now but not enough matured as WordPress 🙂

If I'm not mistaken, I think about 70% of websites today still use WordPress. So perhaps the tooling in Shopify can be better, but the community and infrastructure of WordPress is better.

I agree with you. Shopfy's main focus in e-commerce therefore it makes sense they would have a better product on that niche, but overall WordPress is more powerful, but not as powerful as writing your own code. I believe there is a place for every tool out there but, and no matter how much we try to get rid of writing code, I think it will always have its place. So will WordPress and Shopify

They both are different in terms of functions and uses. Shopify is a popular drop-shipping website where you can sell third party products without even owning any products. Whereas, a WordPress website can be anything from a portfolio website to an e-commerce platform.
