  1. I don't know if this would count as self-promotion, to be honest. But I won't nag you about the policies. If someone does know if it's against the policies, let me know. In terms of feedback, I think you need more examples. I would suggest you build a portfolio website. Something not too complicated, just a website where you show more of your designs. Additionally, do you do vector icons or drawings? That could be a good additional skill to have, as many websites prefer svg images.
  2. Congratulations on your graduation. I hope you are able to fulfill your goals in Fiverr. Commit to it and provide quality work, and I'm sure you will have an excellent experience! Happy new year and good luck with your resolution!
  3. I've gotten 0 so far, but it's because I haven't been marketing nor promoting my gigs as I'm focusing on my website first
  4. You are going to need patience, and you need to be able to identify opportunity. If you only publish your gigs, you will have a hard time getting ranked. I used to have an account with sales but got taken down for inactivity. And I'm currently not working on promoting my gigs, but here is what I learned from the previous experience. Fiverr is a means to generate traffic, but won't give you traffic if you don't work for it. You need to optimize your gigs, add videos and preferably show who you are. Have a portfolio website where you show your skills and qualifications to do so. Also promote your gig to people you know, this way the algorithm will see people entering your gig and will assume you are a useful contributor and will give you more organic exposure. Additionally, create content, preferably written. Not only do you need good SEO on your gig, since your website send people to your gig if you have written content addressing questions in your webpage via a blog, then search engines will give you traffic as well. You need to think about what people looking for your solutions are looking for in the search bars, and attempt to address those prompts in your text. Video content is also great, but it should be combined with text to have it rank better on SEO and for accessibility reasons. Blind people can't read, but there are tools that read for them, and having text in your sites helps with that. Finally, look for advice on YouTube there are many people there sharing their secrets, for example:
  5. I agree with you. Shopfy's main focus in e-commerce therefore it makes sense they would have a better product on that niche, but overall WordPress is more powerful, but not as powerful as writing your own code. I believe there is a place for every tool out there but, and no matter how much we try to get rid of writing code, I think it will always have its place. So will WordPress and Shopify
  6. If I'm not mistaken, I think about 70% of websites today still use WordPress. So perhaps the tooling in Shopify can be better, but the community and infrastructure of WordPress is better.
  7. Wow, that's a tough one. I feel bad this happened to you. And since you're already a LVL 2 I could see why this such a big deal. However, I've seen a lot of LVL 2 accounts being sold on Facebook, which is kind of terrifying. It could perhaps be some update they made to penalize such accounts, and your account could've been mistakenly assumed to be purchased. But that is just speculation.
  8. There are many things you can do to appear on more search results, however we are not always sure of which action will yield the best result. Therefore, I'm interested in seeing what people perceive to be the most effective ways to produce traffic to their gigs. Then answer with a comment explaining why you believe that method to be superior to others. Let's take a moment to provide anyone who reads this the opportunity to read well-thought-out reasons why you market the services the way you do.
  9. I'm seeing a lot of people reply the same thing in the exception to you. I believe these people didn't understand the original poster's problem. I'm currently not facing this issue, but could you elaborate on what happened, and when did this become a problem?
  10. You probably won't have any problem at all. You only need to go to your gigs on your seller dashboard and click on edit. There it will take you back to the page where you first created that gig and let you modify it.
  11. I agree, the algorithm does seem to recognize that you are active and engaged. That is how I've managed to get impressions. I'm still far off to be able to provide proper advice on selling, since I've not been able to get sales recently because I've been busy. However, I used to have another account in the past, which is now eliminated. But I remember that publishing on Quora did help me get traffic as I linked my Fiverr there, and I constantly provided high quality answers to questions people had. Another way I've done it is by asking people in real life to check out my Fiverr page and even linking my Fiverr profile in my website.
  12. I haven't personally had interaction with that individual. However, keep in mind it's against Fiverr policies to do business outside the platform. I feel they do this to guarantee the safety of their sellers and buyers. This is because Fiverr is essentially doing the job of an escrow to guarantee satisfaction from both parts.
  13. I'm currently working on developing a portfolio website for my clients to be able to see the quality of my work. However, I recently read that in your gigs you are only allowed to link to certain URLs and not following such guidelines could lead to penalties. My question is: does this apply to the whole website? I would like to be able to show my portfolio website to gain credibility on Fiverr, but I don't want to be penalized. I was thinking of putting it in my profile Is this a good or bad idea, and why?
  14. Thank you for the link, I hadn't read that before. However, my concern is that these are only applicable on your gig, right? What I mean is, if you have your own website that clients could use as a reference to see your work, would that also be a violation?
  15. Hello everyone, So I've been on Fiverr for a week now. So far, I've not received any sales, but I expected that to happen. I'm glad to finally start seeing some activity in my gig. I still have to make more of them in order to reach a broader audience. However, I feel the first gig I made is still pretty solid, but could use some improvements. I'll leave a link here: https://www.fiverr.com/s/QGP1k2 . If any of you have any suggestions on how it could be more SEO friendly or visually pleasing. I don't show my face because I'm shy, but I will post a picture later today of me on my website: appscripter.vercel.app Thank you beforehand, and I hope I can be of service to anyone out there
  16. Welcome, some advice would be to make your content CEO Optimized
  17. I'm trying to figure out how all of this freelancing work means and its implications. But it's easy to get overwhelmed with so many rules one must follow. This is happening within and outside of fiverr. For example:

Yesterday, I was helping out another developer on Reddit. I told him hey I can possibly help you out, let's have a Zoom call and I can give you some free consulting and sent him a link to my website. When I woke up the next day, my comment was removed by mods for advertising.

I didn't do it with the intention of advertising, I was just offering a helping hand, but I see the mod took it the wrong way. So If anyone has any advice on how to get your name around without necessarily doing advertising, I'd love to hear it.

  18. Great Advice, thank you so much, I will do so
  19. I'm also curious about this. I'm no artist, but I'm a web developer. AI generated content for images on my sites would benefit me and my client. This is because AI can produce high quality content in comparison to someone who is good at their area of expertise but doesn't have the knowledge or the budget to fulfill an order asking for my services. Would it be okay in the future to use AI generated content as long as we specify it to the client and is in his benefit?
  20. I hope they do. I'm not sure, so don't take my word on this, but I believe they do this kind of contest to do quality screening. Makes sense to get to know what unknown sellers on the platform can do or see who is the dominant seller to which to send the best work to. I'm going to try even though I probably won't win, it will at least get my name around. I would suggest you do the same.
  21. I would like to know what do other sellers think about college students that offer their services on fiverr. I think it's a good idea because it can offer flexible hours with decent income. I'm still trying to learn how all of this work, but I feel confident I can provide a quality service that clients will enjoy.

  22. Do you have any material as to how to improve titles and descriptions? It would be useful to know.
