Offer for audiobook recording, wonder if it's a scam

Hi. I'm new to Fiverr and just started a beta reading gig. I was recently contacted by someone who wanted me to record myself reading their book. They didn't mention any rates or anything like that, they only said it would be paid by the hour and that someone else would have to make the final decision. Are there any recording scams like this that I need to be aware of or make people aware of? This individual is not from the US. Please advise.

It smell fishy. Did your buyer came from one of these three:

"I***a" , B*******sh, P******n" ?

Tripple your cautions when deal with these country Buyer.

Please note that SCAM BUYER Always target New Seller.

Before accept any order.., please make sure that both of you clearly understand the task.

The buyer is from a "suspect" country and the books he sent me as "audition scripts" are either books that have been published years ago or are badly written by bots. It does look like a scam. Thanks for the feedback.
