As per my experience, there is not any specific time to use "Promoted GIG" features. This is very useful for features for all sellers. You can earn more than 10x what you will invest.

But make sure,

• The GIG should be good ratings and review.
• Your GIG title, descriptions should be clear, to the point and SEO optimised.
• Use the relevant TAGs in your GIG.

If your GIG meets all the above criteria, then "Promoted GIG" features will be definitely beneficial for you.
