WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT??

You pay Fiverr to bring business TO YOU. They take a cut of your income in exchange for that. Why would you pay someone to send traffic to Fiverr so they can take a cut of your money? If you're going to pay to promote yourself, set up your own website and send people directly to that and keep all of the profit to yourself!

There are several reasons why you would want to pay for marketing of your gigs, one of them being that sales lead to more sales, and can help you grow on Fiverr, getting you more reviews, higher stats/levels and so on. If you are new and want to grow on Fiverr, paying for marketing can be a good idea. Emphasis on can, because you have to do it right, and it's not a very effective way to grow in terms of ROI in the short term.
