laura_pio Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Hi everyone!I’m new to Fiverr and I was wondering how do you guys work the time zone issue? For instance, some new buyer who’s interested in your gig messages you or even buys your gig, but it’s 11pm in your country and you are obviously not in your working hours at such late time; therefore won’t answer anyone and neither will you be able to deliver the job in a deadline of 24 hours, because you won’t be back to work on the next 10 hours. What do you usually do? Do you guys pause all your gigs when you finish your work day and reactivate them the next day?Laura
wpkidrasel Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 There are a lot of people who work day and night, maybe you mean that.
kleine2 Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 You could raise your deadline to 48 hours.I put in my FAQ what times I am available for different time zones.I also use detailed requirement questions to make sure I will have what I need with less need for further discussion.
creativecolumn Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Hello Laura,Honestly, I do some overnight shifts if I got urgent projects. However, I make sure to get an extra for that. But it’s not possible to do regularly cause there are many health issues. I recommend you to increase your delivery time, so you can have enough time to cover up everything.
janali Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 If you can’t finish your basic gig within 14 hours (24 minus the 10 you are sleeping), I’d strongly recommend having a look at your prices or delivery times. For me, a 5 dollar gig takes me around 15 to 30 minutes to complete, depeding on which of my gigs it is.So if someone sends me a request for a 5 dollar gig at night, I send them an offer as soon as I can (sometimes 5 minutes later, sometimes an hour later) and then go to sleep and in the morning when I start working, I respond to more messages, look at my dashboard to see which orders went through, work on them and close Fiverr when I am done but occasionally open it every 2 hours or so to see if I got new messages. With bigger orders I pretty much do the same but my delivery time is increased then.

Just mention in your gig before order message. so if you available you can reply and do that work. or you can extend your delivery time. That’s work for me.Best of luck
english_voice Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Everyone on Fiverr faces this issue. Don’t worry about. You are not alone. The simplest way to manage this situation is to offer a 48 hour turnaround and not 24 hours. If having read the above advice you are now thinking that no one will order if you only offer a 48 hour turnaround, then you need to rethink whether Fiverr is for you. You can’t have everything.

If time is a problem, give yourself more time.
