Spam messages will affect my response rate?

Today I get a Spam message. But I didn’t reply . Fiver clearly shows there it will not affect on my response rate.But I have shown there one of forum member posted a post that he got demoted for not replying to spam message. What will be the best solution for spam message

Since this is a spam message, it should not affect your response rate even if you don’t reply to it. However, sometimes, it gets bugged and it affects your response rate. I don’t think it is going to help if you respond to the spam message after it having already affected your response rate. You just have to contact CS.

However, in the case of normal messages, you have to reply within 24 hours for them to not affect your response rate.

If you do not reply within 24 hours of receiving a normal message, it will affect your response rate.
