Official feedback thread re: the new leveling system
rajamani255 replied to frank_d's topic in Fiverr.com Feedback
Even if you had 2 cancellations during the 2 year period it still doesn't justify your demotion to level 0. It seems like a purge where Fiverr is randomly selecting and demoting sellers. -
Did anyone else get Low Performance level after the new rating system update?
rajamani255 replied to rajamani255's question in Questions
I have an even worse news for you. So I initially had a success score of 5 and after 3 of my orders in the past week were auto-completed without reviews, the score dropped to 4. Any order that gets auto-completed also brings your success score down this is an impossible criteria to uphold. -
Etiquettes for navigating ratings and reviews from buyers
rajamani255 replied to Kesha's topic in Sellers Best Practices
So, we aren't supposed to say, "Please leave a review" and "Good experience" in a sentence when asking customers to review an order? This has left me guessing the correct wording to encourage customers to leave a review. Can you specify the permitted wording for asking for reviews that won't get our accounts flagged by the system so soliciting reviews? For example, can we ask buyers something like, "Would you like to review the quality of my delivered work?" once the order is delivered to the client?- 172 replies

Update: Addressing new level system questions and feedback
rajamani255 replied to Kesha's topic in News From the Product Team
It's obvious that they want a major chunk of seller base to be out of the marketplace listings. 4 and 5 also 6 seems to be the most common number. That way they can give us an excuse for not ranking us in the search results. -

Awkward, but you showed up at the top with a badge in design category. Were you Fiverr's choice then? -

I am pretty sure more people have less than 5 score than those with +5 SS. I have been seeing a lot of posts with 3, 4 and even 1.6 SS ratings on some of the Facebook groups I am in. -

That's still pretty interesting. Fiverr needs sellers in more ways than just generating revenue for them. I hope some TRS or pros also get contacted about their feedback on the new rating system. -

Fiverr should outsource customer support to customer support niche sellers on Fiverr. That'll make their customer care more reliable instead of the in-house representatives that give contradictory responses each time. -
Wow and I thought I had it bad. But I might have some good news for you. So after texting back and forth with customer support on my ticket I found out that my account is still level 2 (CS representative checked and confirmed) and I haven't been demoted as per the information they see for my account. So maybe the demotions you and everyone else is seeing are a glitch and they might be resolved once Fiverr gets this situation under control.

"Love your order, or else the seller delivering the order gets shadowbanned." There I fixed the copy. -

I think working with your existing buyers and encouraging them to review your deliveries might bring you out of Fiverr jail in a couple months. -

Fiverr maths goes something like this: an SS of 9 on one gig, and multiple gigs without any success score due to lack of enough orders brings down the overall success score. -

Hello community, I have been in touch with customer support about the Low-Performance level and whether it means the account's been demoted or not, and I finally got an answer. Apparently, a low-performance level doesn't equal an account demotion, but from my understanding means the account is under some sort of shadowban. Leaving this here so anyone else who might have received a Low-Performance badge for their account can save themselves the hassle of going back and forth with support for 4 days to know the answer. -

2 cancellations in 2 years aren't by any standard a valid reason for demotion to level 0. Unless they want to play thanos and wipe out a large number of sellers from over crowded catagories. -

I went through your post earlier and it's nice to get some picture of why Fiverr might have implemented the new rating system. It brings some clarity to effected sellers like me. At the same time I would have expected Fiverr to come out with an official statement or a post similar to yours a few months prior to rolling out the new rating system to give us a heads up about the metrics and their impacts on our seller accounts. -

😂 I am glad I could nudge you to your new rank. As far as the AI score is concerned I am gonna give you a lil tip to avoid the AI detectors. If a buyer is really concerned about the AI detectors simply don't edit the content using using grammarly and edit it manually and bingo 0 AI detection score. I have been in the game long enough to know what AI detectors mark as AI and traces of grammarly sentence restructuring is one of them. -

Are you accusing me of using ChatGPT to generate my gig description? And I bet if you put your gig description through any of the free AI detectors you will get at least 90% AI content probability. I am not the best at formatting but that's not what my gig offers I offer high quality blog content with basic formatting. If you really want to judge my writing skills then order my gig and see what I have to offer instead of judging me based off of my gig description (which isn't a blog post). -

I am pretty adaptable as far as Fiverr's policy swings are concerned and I have been adjusting to their updates as they call them over the past 4 years. But how do they expect sellers like me to adjust to not being able to sell on the platform. It's not a policy swing but a purging and those who survive this time are just going to get taken down in the next one. Unless sellers stand firm and make them reconsider their policies. -

Yet, there is not a single word against outsourcing and using personal accounts as agency accounts. But if we dare give revisions or worse get a cancellation, we get sent to Fiverr jail. Fiverr is doing its policing in the wrong places. -

This! How were we supposed to know that things like order duration extension and multiple revisions were going to bring our rating down in future? Besides the whole point behind revising a delivery is to make it better which ultimately improves customer satisfaction. Why sellers should be penalized for doing everything they can to make the buyers happy is beyond logic.
