Woohoo! My W9 finally went through, and I got to publish my Gig! Only took three weeks. 😝 But the support folks were great and let me know that the IRS is/was having issues processing all W9 forms, and a person I know in the security field said "Yeah, the IRS is dealing with security issues right now." Maybe the two are connected, maybe not. Yours get approved yet, @lucrosart @wonderartstarot? -
Ah! Excellent! Thank you for explaining the things that made a difference. Hugely appreciate it. I'm excited to get started, but nervous, too, about encountering difficulties like this. I'll be keeping these tips in mind.

Has your WP form been approved yet? If not, the publish button will be grayed out. I set up my Gig before you joined (end of September) and my WP is STILL not approved, so my button is STILL grayed out. Apparently the approval process around here is extremely slooooow.

Yeah, I was wondering about this while waiting for my WP form to go through. Good to know there's a way to screen potential projects by being able to look over a document before agreeing to take it on. I've worked with some doozies in my time, and not for pay. I don't mind a challenge, but come ON! I'm curious to know if these suggestions worked for @jenspeck.

Eesh, yeah, I'm starting to worry that every time I edit my Gig it returns to the back of the queue. Having so long to wait is giving me too much time to fiddle with it. 😕 -

We're resurrecting an old thread here, but I was wondering the same thing. 11 days? That's ... way longer than I expected. Here I am on Day 4. My university/degree is still in Pending status too. Figured automated systems would work faster than this. Unless it's not automated? Is there any kind of info on average wait times?
