I personally use Paypal but my good forum friend @sabinespoems might have a better answer for you as she uses Payoneer 🙂

Thank you, my forum friend & withdrawal method detective 😄 these posts always seem to slip by me until you point them out!

Hi! When I try to withdraw from Payoneer (USD) to Wise (USD) I have a 2% fee. How do you solve this? I just want to withdraw in USD and then convert to EUR in my Wise account.

Let me begin by saying I have no idea how you solve this 😅 As @theratypist mentioned I always use the same method as you do (Payoneer USD > Wise USD > Bank account EUR). However, transferring from Payoneer to Wise for me is always $1, which is a fixed number. So, this is quite puzzling to me! 🤔

Are you sure you've set up your Wise account in USD and linked this Wise bank account number to your Payoneer? I did this wrong the first time, so when I made the withdrawal from Payoneer in USD in entered as EUR on my Wise account.

I've asked for help on Help and Support.
but why my request has been marked as "solved"?
and I still get the usual cancellation. Not the "Order Cancelled by Fiverr Costumer Support"?

I might be wrong here, so anyone feel free to correct me on this but, I believe you went through the Resolution Center to cancel your order instead of submitting a ticket directly to CS?

Only if your cancellation request is valid and you submit a ticket directly to CS, then your stats won't be harmed. I've done it 3 times now and it will say the following on your order page:

" The order was canceled by Customer Support"

So next time submit a ticket instead and you should be good!

  4. This is a wonderful post to help us analyze ourselves! With that being said, it threw me into a little bit of an existential crisis I have to admit 😅

    12 hours ago, vickieito said:

My buyers really like how I know what they want more than they do. If they come to me with an idea and ask for a specific thing, and I don't think their requests meets their own needs, I'll suggest a better solution for them.

So, to ease myself into providing my own analysis, I'm going to steal this from @vickieito and say this applies to my services too. A lot of people don't write poetry themselves, so they look to me (the professional) to guide them. Someone called me 'the doctor of poems' the other day and that has quite a ring to it, doesn't it? 🤓

If I had to think of other points that make me professionally unique it's neither my service (writing poetry) nor my profile (I put the effort into writing my description of course, but I'm aware it's not innovative or inheritably different).

Perhaps my uniqueness lies in approaching my client's requests as if I'm in their situation. I guess I'd describe it as being a chameleon and adjusting myself to the colors of their story, making it my own, and writing about it as if I were the one experiencing it. But then again, that's also the core poetry. So I assume any of my competitors do the same....😵

Did I identify my unique selling point? No ha, because my uniqueness as a seller often only comes to light once a buyer has already ordered from me or plans to. The customer care I provide, the way I communicate, and of course the final product where I put my heart and soul in. In short, what I've noticed is I'm able to connect words to feelings that are often indescribable for the ones that come to me.

Of course, I'm aware what I'm doing here on Fiverr as a seller trying to sell, but I'm also just being me. And I'm having (somewhat) regular orders, so I guess whatever I'm doing works! But I'm also aware there's always room for improvement but I wouldn't know where to begin (but that's a whole different topic haha).

And a little sidenote; the fact I'm now having an existential crisis is not your fault 😜

Thank you for this original post!

  5. This absolutely made me smile for longer than 3 seconds, it made my entire day too! Especially the 2nd edited photo 😂

I've seen videos of people walking around with a cat in a backpack like this and how they're looking around so amazed by the world just warms my heart.

    It's purrrrr-fect! 😻

Would you remove your own gall bladder as well?

That's not something I've included on my bucket list! But that is something I don't have to pay somebody else for either.

I'm not a fan of paying for prayer, that smacks of the fortune teller snake oil. But the idea of praying for the well being of others is quite common in all religions, just maybe not with the meter running.

I'm definitely aware, and not against despite not being religious, that people pray for others. However, it's the running meter thing that had me thinking indeed.

  7. This is quite interesting what you're mentioning here. Out of honest curiosity;

    55 minutes ago, enstine said:

Praying for people and preaching the gospel should never carry a financial value attached to it but the means to carry that prayer/gospel to you is costly.

    56 minutes ago, enstine said:

Pastors are not paid to pray. Any buyer of a prayer gig only pays for the cost of delivery.

Of course, a pastor is a man with family and responsibilities. But in these parts above you mention that carrying the prayer/gospel to someone is costly. In the realm of Fiverr specifically, how is carrying that costly? And how does that justify the fact that the gospel should never carry a financial value to it? Isn't that contradictory?

And coming from someone who has no ties to religion in any way I'm also curious about the following to which you might provide clarification. Why would I pay for someone to pray for me when I could pray for myself?

Thanks in advance for your answer!

  8. What you're about to read has already been said many times before, just like a lot of things on the forum ha. So a thread has probably already been dedicated to this topic (my apologies if this is the case!), but I felt a new reminder wouldn't hurt either way.

Now and again I see Sellers complain about a gig that has been removed due to a ToS violation. Generally speaking there are two responses:

    1. But I've been selling this service for -insert- years!
Why this argument doesn't hold is easy to explain, just read the title of this thread. Just because you've committed fraud for 50 years without going to jail or you went over the speed limit without receiving a ticket doesn't mean it's not against the rules. Furthermore, rules and regulations also change. Like, let's give a very extreme example, slavery for instance (I didn't know a better universally understood example). But to bring it back to a more sane level, when you're a freelancer on a platform it's up to you to keep up with the (changing) rules to make sure you still comply. Which leads me to my next point!

    2. Nobody gave me a warning!
Yes. Yes they did. In the Terms of Service. Which you agreed to the moment you joined this platform. And like I said in point 1, it's up to you to read and stay up to date with it.

In order to make these 2 points more specific and for you to double-check your gigs, I've included the reasons that are in Fiverr's Terms of Service why your Gig might (at one point or another) be removed. Keep in mind these points include reasons, but removal might not be limited to these points:

    • Illegal or Fraudulent services
    • Copyright Infringement, Trademark Infringement, and violation of a third party's terms of service reported through our Intellectual Property Claims Policy found here
    • Adult oriented services, Pornographic, Inappropriate/Obscene
    • Intentional copies of Gigs
    • Spam, nonsense, or violent or deceptive Gigs
    • Gigs misleading to Buyers or others
    • Reselling of regulated goods
    • Offering to prepare academic works on behalf of Buyers
    • Exceedingly low quality Gigs
    • Promoting Fiverr and/or Fiverr Gigs through activities that are prohibited by any laws, regulations, and/or third parties' terms of service, as well as through any marketing activity that negatively affects our relationships with our users or partners.

    3. Bonus point I wanted to make!
A lot of Sellers are also complaining about not being in the search results. This can be due to many factors. For example, your gig might not pop up when you search it yourself, but on another computer (based on that person's search behavior) it does. However, Fiverr has included in the ToS as well that gigs may be removed from our Search feature due to poor performance and/or user misconduct.

For all of you who don't know where you can find Fiverr's ToS to check for yourself let me make your life a little easier (something that generally isn't my talent 😅) by providing the link: Fiverr's Terms of Service

    That's it!

No, you misunderstand. The user and comment was what I referred to, and the fact that it seemed out of character with Netherlands.

Noted, I wasn't actually offended anyway! I just take any chance I get to use gifs relevant to a situation.

Is Omar a name generally considered native to Holland?

It's not considered native but since there are a lot of people living here with an Arabic background, it's a relatively popular name.

P.s. I didn't want to take the thread off topic, but I figured sharing information about countries is always interesting!

Needless to say I definitely give them 1  and I definitely won't recommend to a friend nor is the service as described!

Oh, but you can. Just go to your gig page and turn briefs off! 😊

You're a lifesaver! I was looking at the settings to not get the notifications, but now I'll just turn it off completely. Thank you 😄

  11. I actually have come to despise the Briefs section! Every time I see the notification I only click on it to get that pesky, red dot away. And it also clutters my email inbox for which I cannot turn the notifications off -_-

I understand some people might get orders from it but for me all the requests are either something I don't provide or (like your example) people asking for jobs.

For me it just seems like the same ol' Buyer Request section. Overall I've just not seen the amazing added value of it but, then again, who am I 🤷‍♀️

  12. Whenever someone comes to me with a clear project I've done a lot of times I tell them my estimate for it. If they want to negotiate I'm willing to do so, but I won't budge a lot if (as I mentioned) the project is clearly within the packages I provide.

If a buyer is asking something out of scope of my packages, I always begin by asking what their budget is. Then you can also tell if they're serious buyers or the kind who want the world for just a penny. Then I estimate what I believe the time will be for me to complete it and other relevant factors. Then I take the negotiations from there!

They have finally split apart "notifications" and "messages." I never liked it when they combined those two features, so just that one change is a great improvement.

I must admit that sounds promising! The combination of the two always did make it seem so cluttered and without a good overview. Then I'll await my turn to see it implemented 😄

I find it more funny than terrible that's why I wanted to share this 😄

Besides the fact that this is obviously sad and pathetic, I agree with you seeing the funny side of it especially the last message 🙈

The use of the clown is very fitting I must say too. Nice creative choice!

  15. No.

This forum has in no shape, way or form effect on your Fiverr gig.

I see that you've already created several threads. If you have genuine questions it's of course allowed. But I suggest first searching the forum because more often than not your questions have already been asked and answered here.

So in short: spamming the forum won't help you become a successful freelancer on Fiverr.

It its late, it's late. If the dispute is open, the buyer haven't responded to it yet, meaning that the original deadline still applies.

I always thought that extending the delivery days for an order that's already late doesn't matter, because late is late? If I recall correctly this was also mentioned in the Help Center, but now I can't find this information there anymore. Does that mean Fiverr has changed it? 🤔

  17. Whenever this happens I always send a reminder about a week later including something along the lines of 'hi I wanted to check if you're still looking for your project to be completed. If not or if you've found another seller that's completely fine, I just wanted to make sure', but then more specific to my service.

Sometimes they respond, sometimes they don't. Often when people do get back to me they've changed their minds and end up not wanting to do a certain project at this time. After one reminder though I let them be if they don't respond, because (although it's the polite thing to do) they don't owe me an explanation!
