  1. You have 8 hours of read-time on the forums, you should already know where to look for advice.
  2. Why do you want to spend time on the forums? (Just checking.)
  3. The forum moderators would have to set it up to be an option. It’s not a default/standard feature in Discourse. Allow users to select dark / light theme - admins - Discourse Meta
  4. 3: How long ago did you implement the advice, and has it been consistent?
  5. Wait for the review to finish. That’s all you really can do in regards to Fiverr itself.
  6. It’s against the ToS to make duplicate gigs, so if you make a new gig it cannot be the same as one you already have. Thus, using the same image with no alterations is not recommended.
  7. Any time you edit your gig it is removed from the search while the change is verified. This can take a few minutes to a few weeks. If you’re doing well with the gig right now, don’t mess with it. If it’s doing poorly, then edit away.
  8. Please keep updates in the same thread. It’s against the Community Standards & Forum Rules - 2020 to create duplicate threads. In the case of changes in a situation, it’s doubly important, so that people can see what advice you’ve already been given and/or what steps you’ve already taken. You only have 36 minutes of read-time shown in your forum profile. Check out the Tips For Sellers category (with filters applied --> forum.fiverr.com/c/Fiverr-Tips/tips-for-sellers/l/top/all?order=views). You’ll find hundreds of threads offering advice on a variety of things to consider and/or improve. (Note: Not all advice can apply to all gigs or categories. Be sure you check multiple sources as there are some false tips, even among the top threads.) It takes a lot of work to make it as a freelancer, so be sure to research and plan accordingly. “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.” (Attributed to Benjamin Franklin)
  9. The forums are a good place to practice, but they are not a good place to seek corrections. A majority of the people here are also non-native English speakers and can’t help you learn properly, as they are still learning themselves. You also risk picking up incorrect/bad habits. I will give you two tips: When using the pronoun ‘I’, always capitalize it.Always capitalize the first letter in a sentence, and end it with a fullstop/period (.) or a question mark (?) so that people know where the sentence begins and ends.
  10. If you mean the squiggly red (or blue) underline, that’s a sign that something about what you typed doesn’t make sense to the grammar or spelling system. rassian > Russian partfolio > portfolio cant > can’t water > what are abaut > about dont > don’t Use the system to identify errors, but don’t use auto-correct. If something is marked, try to figure out why. English is hard, I get that, but manually correcting the mistakes will help you learn faster.
  11. Make that a requirement, then. A mandatory set of boxes of options for file-type to be delivered that the buyer must select from.
  12. Welcome to the Fiverr forums. Are you a buyer or seller? If a buyer, you can ask a seller what is included. If you’re a seller, simply don’t include it in your gig if you don’t understand what it is. Don’t do something just because everyone else is doing it.
  13. Kudos for trying. And that’s very odd, that my category numbers were basically half. But that might explain some of the complaints from people ‘not showing up in their category’.
  14. So, there was a category split about 2-3 weeks ago, and was wondering how you deal with sub-subcategories, as the numbers don’t total the whole. Screenshots.Taken today, 20 Nov 2020. image1632×900 391 KBAs for the enormous number discrepancy from your list, I’m guessing a lot of gigs were removed for “Your gig need updating” reasons.
  15. Don’t use copyrighted, trademarked, or registered IP characters. https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/147964-new-sellers-no-integrity-no-success/

A helpful breakdown and guide There are also a bunch of useful links in the (RRD) section.
  17. My voice is my instrument, and I’ve been ‘playing’ it since I was 9. I’m not a professional, as my talent lay in choir and harmonizing, though I have a talent for lyrics. I have a pinch of skill in playing piano and recently started learning the guitar. As for anything in the realm of production or engineering I’m vastly behind my peers, so I’ll looking forward to learning more in that arena as well.
  18. I don’t know exactly why I like this one so much, but I do. (Something to do with the visual pun.) 1200×506 35.5 KB
  19. It can take some sellers months to get their first order. Please keep updates in the same thread. It’s against the Community Standards & Forum Rules - 2020 to create duplicate threads. 20. I see, you were analyzing by the actual category. That makes sense. The 36,778 you have for “video editing” is indeed bigger than the 24,478 from search results. Interesting, and that correlates with what wp_kid and uk1000 noticed. Also, yeah, nearly 2m gigs on Fiverr. WOW. (I guessed 4m+, so I guess I was being pessimistic. Interesting thing about the average of the crowd, and statistics and sample sizes, though.)
  21. Did a search here on the forums for “Services Available” to see if anyone in the past has recorded the results from the main platform. Found a few and re-ran the searches. Picked some that were about a year old, and pre-pandemic-panic/lockdown. Here are some of the results with hard numbers: Click to see. (Hidden to keep length down) Date of post: 15 Sep 2019 Current (as of this post) results for “Beta Reader”: 1,068 Services available Date of post: 23 Oct 2019 Current results for “Watercolour” (with a ‘u’): 314 Services available Date of post: 18 Dec 2019 Current results for “baby names”: 43 Services available Oh, here’s a more common one! Date of post: 6 Jan 2020 Current results for “video editing”: 24,478 Services available Date of post: 21 Jan 2020 Current results for “English teacher”: 674 Services available In conclusion, ALL have roughly doubled in the past year/10 months. I know most of these have NO actual demand, and thus are very niche, but finding forum posts that qualified (right timeframe, listed search word(s), hard number posted) is tricky.
  22. Wow. Thank you for doing this research and organizing it into such a nice visual. Very interesting information here.
