Hello guys,

Hope you're ALL GREAT today.

It's my 2nd time to update daily practice plan. Absolutely, good plan is required and it'll bring a better result than previously.

  • Vocabulary Learn - Listen & Write 8-10mins
  • Follow audiobooks readers' voice-acting 10-25 mins
  • read independently 30 mins

I have no idea what will appear in future, but I like NOW and even What we do every day. The best time is to getting close your goal and achieve it one day.

Best Wish @_@

I'd suggest that if you are wanting to practice and grow you Voice Over performance, instead of allocating time to read, you record various works every day. Select a style, listen to how the best VO artists have tackled that project, then attempt to emulate the style in recordings.  Don't copy them, but try to live in the same emotional space as them, using your own voice.

Record every day, listen back, then record again.

As Newsmike said. And of course if you're able to, definetely invest in good equipment that allows high quality recording.

Looking back, I'd have gone with investing in acting classes and a quality recording space before I upgraded from my USB mic.

Here is a daily plan for voiceover practice:

Warm-up (10 minutes)

1. Vocal exercises: Lip trills, tongue trills, neck stretches, and shoulder rolls
2. Breathing exercises: Deep breathing, inhaling through the nose, and exhaling through the mouth

Script Practice (30 minutes)

1. Choose a script (e.g., commercial, animation, or narration)
2. Read the script aloud, focusing on:
    - Clarity
    - Pacing
    - Tone
    - Emphasis
    - Characterization (if applicable)
3. Record yourself and listen back to identify areas for improvement

Recording and Editing (30 minutes)

1. Record a short script or a section of a script
2. Edit the recording using audio editing software (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition)
3. Practice editing techniques, such as:
    - Cutting and splicing audio
    - Adjusting volume and gain
    - Adding music or sound effects (if applicable)

Listening and Analysis (30 minutes)

1. Listen to professional voiceover recordings (e.g., commercials, animations, or audiobooks)
2. Analyze the voiceover artist's:
    - Tone
    - Pacing
    - Emphasis
    - Characterization
    - Overall performance
3. Take notes on what you can apply to your own practice

Cool-down (10 minutes)

1. Relaxation exercises: Deep breathing, meditation, or visualization
2. Reflect on your practice session, identifying what you did well and what needs improvement

Remember to take breaks and stay hydrated throughout your practice session. Adjust the plan as needed to fit your schedule and goals. Happy practicing!
