  1. I want to order a voice over of 3000 words with full broadcast right, but I don't know what price I should choose. What does 1($15), 2($30) etc mean? Let's say the total price for voice overing 3000 words is 200 dollars, how much should I pay if want to add full broadcast right to the price? Thanks.
  2. I created a Fiverr account and posted my first gigs 2 weeks ago, but no orders yet. I have had several conversations with buyers about custom offers (I have even created some), but still nothing. I know two weeks is a relatively short amount of time, but I was wondering if any others had shared this experience. Thanks!
  3. Hi all! Is anyone in the voiceover community finding this an issue lately? I have so many buyers lately simply ignoring the requirement for adding rights to their orders and then opting to cancel when I politely remind them. It's getting incredibly frustrating as seller ratings are affected by order cancellations and as a result I'm definitely noticing a drop off in the amount orders placed for a couple of days after. Surely there has to be something in place to protect sellers from this. I see it as the equivalent of going into a shop, going up to the checkout with something priced at $50 and just slapping a $20 bill down and hoping the seller doesn't notice! I've highlighted it on my gig page and in the order requirements about what constitutes the need for these rights. But time and time again it's the same issue every few orders! I had someone place an order and they wanted to use it as an advertisement, wanted background music included plus audio syncing... and only the word count was paid for. I definitely don't want to just up my price to include the rights, but (and excuse me for asking if it's not allowed) can I include a note which says a cancellation will not be permitted should they choose to ignore the requirements? I'm so sorry for the rant. I'm just at a loss of what to do!
  4. Hey there everyone! I just want to make sure I charge my customer properly before I create the custom gig for them. So, I do voice over for my gig and this client wants me to do their beat tag and it will be at the beginning of all of their songs. Do I charge Full Broadcasting Rights for this? Thank you in advanced!
  5. I keep getting buyers who ask the info which I already wrote in my gigs description... At first I was thinking is my gig not details enough? After I keep updates my gigs and wrote as details as possible but the same question also exists. For example: "I DO NOT provide any translation service. " is clearly written in my gig's description and I even wrote in below the Q&A. Guess what~ Here's some examples in the buyer's message I met. Buyer A: ...you will need to convert the English into Japanese in your voice... Buyer B: ...I need a 1. translation 2. voiceover... Buyer C : Ok i will send you 75 words in english can you say it normally in japanese?... 😐... Just wonder, do buyers ever read the description? No offense! Just curious!
  6. I don't see the option for this when creating or editing a voice over gig, nor do I see the option in voice over gigs when browsing as a buyer. Other types of gigs within music & audio have this. I assume this is intentional. Perhaps I'm missing some obvious logical reason. I appreciate that word count can easily be adjusted, but packages with and without things like commercial rights seem sensible to me. If someone could point out the obvious reason, that would be nice. I don't mind looking a little foolish 🙂
  7. Hey, Kinda new to fiverr, took an online course from an established voiceover artist on how to "make money" on fiverr!! She spoke of thousands of hits a month etc etc.... I have currently 69 impressions and 1 listen? Not to sound my own horn but I am a professionally trained VO artist in the NYC area with studio demo"s!. Have been out of the biz for a number of years and decided to get back in and make some money! I am looking for an agent (which is like swimming in mud) while signing up for these sites that want you to subscribe monthly or yearly just to audition!! Really? What happened to you make money I make money?? The latest is a company that claims to be a talent agent, but when they called they offered me a spot on their team for the low price of 250 bucks! I have booked 1 gig on upwork and thats it(its been several months!). Wondering if I'm the only one experiencing this? I have reached out to the person whose 4 week seminar on how to work with fiverr I bought and heard back once with (check your word choices and other obtuse suggestions) Other sites live off those "$5 is my budget for an audiobook recording", I want a real career and if its through fiverr great!!! but there has to be something I'm missing.. Do I reach out to fiverr management? Is there a trick that someone can share?? I am desperate and want this to work...... I even went down to start at 5 bucks for the first 100 words and guess what? NADA!!! Please help if you can..... Much love Tim
  8. HI can anyone explain why the gig impressions go down from one day to the next?? it seems weird that from one day to the next the number of impressions goes down and up and so does the number of clicks??
  9. I am curious of how the "Buyer Request" submissions make their way to potential Sellers. I understand its based on what skills we select as Sellers, but it seems there are too little offerings at times and I was curious if there was more on the back end or something we can do to see more requests? Struggling to gain some traction 🤦🏻‍♂️! Thanks - Tony
  10. Hello! I am new here, I am an Italian voice actress, just created my gig a couple of days ago... hoping to get some order soon! 😅
  11. It seems like with my voice over gigs things come in waves. Sometimes I get a bunch of orders and it's going great and other times it's slow. No matter what, I do my best to get the highest quality voice over for them and seeing a happy customer keeps me going even if it's one a day. Y'all find this to be the same for you? Things tend to wax and wane for you too when it comes to orders?
  12. Hi there. I'm Twister. I've been enjoying my selling experience as a voiceover artist, and I have been on the site for over two years. I, in no way, shape, or form, want to sound ignorant -- however, when I get a 3-star review with no context, it surprises me. I strive for perfection. I don't have a God complex, nor' do I believe my work is superior over a lot of Fiverr sellers. But, I keep my communication skills, delivery, and actual work in a professional realm. Alongside my experience as a seller, I have also made countless purchases from other sellers, and every time, I always make sure to leave five star reviews. It's crucial to working up the ranks as a seller -- (level one, level two, top rated, etc.) Why leave a sub-par review in the first place unless there is a genuine problem with the work you receive? Not only that, but when someone leaves said review and provides absolutely zero context into why it was not a 5-star rating, it gets frustrating. How is the seller ever supposed to work on what the buyer didn't like if they never say what it was in the first place? The only logic I can come up with is that the buyer is not familiar with the rating system, and believes that 3+ stars is the ''perfect'' review. I do apologize if this sounds negligent, and I do not want to sound picky because a 3+ star review is still a good review in retrospect, but my curiosity is getting the best of me. Alongside this, how badly will a 3 star review combined with another review of 4 stars subtract from my average of 5+ star ratings (out of 83 total completed orders?) I am close to level two status, and I do not want this review to bump my 5-star record down to a 4.9 or below, even if it isn't the end of the world. Thank you for taking the time to read and stay safe out there.
  13. I am wondering if anyone has a helpful comment because I am really puzzled and disappointed. I have 19 5-star reviews for this Voiceover Gig: https://www.fiverr.com/ukbritishvoice/deliver-a-british-male-explainer-voiceover-within-24-hours?ref_ctx_id=421bafdad43405ba0153b7faeec8a6e0 What you see (and hear) there is a new, much improved version of an older version of this Voice Gig. I put a lot of time into creating this new version of my Corporate, video narration voice reel, with a MUCH better voice reel & better graphics, and it was accepted by Fiverr. The result has been a catastrophic drop in my ranking in the categories I used to appear in eg Voiceover/Male/Video Narration/ English-British accent. I used to appear high up because of the 19 5-star revews so far, and the great feedback from Buyers. Now I simply can no longer find myself ANYWHERE in the listings. I just looked through all 2000 males in the above combined categories - I was not there! It's incredibly disappointing and I simply don't understand why this is happening. I have talked to staff members through the Help section, and I basically received generic advice about the need to do a good job (but I have 19 5-star reviews) and that Fiverr doesn't owe me a ranking (that misses the point, I had a high ranking, greatly improved my Gig and have disappeared). Is it just a matter of waiting and I will reappear? Has anyone else been in this position and how did things improve? . Thank you so much for any helpful comments... UKBritishVoice
  14. Have you upgraded to the M1 yet? I just upgraded to the new iMac M1 and should have compared the specs but realized my Izotope RX 8 Standard plugins are not compatible! UGHHHHH! We found some code to write in to help it along but it doesn't function right. The Izotope plugins need to run on an Intel not a Chip! Izotope CS says it will be a few months and they totally know the issue! My DAW is Adobe Audition, Universal Audio Apollo Solo, the Izotope RX 8 Standard plugins and can't figure out the Manley Voxbox yet if anyone knows!!
  15. Hello. I need your help to know about commercial rights of voice over. If the clients use my voice for there original textbook, can I charge the commercial rights?
  16. I am sure I am not the only one here who finds the following unacceptable: a large number of buyers, I would say at least 70%, ask for FREE voiceover samples to be heard by their clients before buying my services. the demo gallery is available to everyone. what are the demos for if I have to make samples for free avery time? these sly clients obviously won't show their customers my price list, because they will underpay my work and then re-sell it outside fiverr. besides, it is likely that these buyers will use my free demos (and those of many other fiverr sellers) to build their own library of talents to resell at higher prices. these buyers usually promise long term jobs, the truth is they never come back. and I assume this happens in all categories. the price of gig is already ridiculous here on fiver. out there, in the real world, prices are much higher. everyone knows. fiverr as usual doesn't respect in any way the sellers. you say "this is how it works, it's free market" ??? I DON'T WORK FOR FREE! fiverr forbids talks outside the platform, preventing me from having private negotiations with my clients. so why buyers can resell my work outside fiverr? they also resell my broadcast rights! is this acceptable? NO! I think fiverr should necessarily do something. integrate some sort of paid-samples-option and pretend buyers to respect the hard work of the sellers. Do you agree on that or not? What can we do besides deny such requests? I am done.
  17. Hello Fiverr! After finishing drama school in Vienna last spring (I know it's a great time to make a living on stage...), I just survived the last year of occasional castings, commercials and side projects. At some point, a friend of mine contacted me about Fiverr and I thought: why don't you try it out? One job turned into 10; 10 turned into 30 and now the income from the Fiverr voice over gigs covers the daily expenses with a moderate outlay. I'm happy to have become part of the Fiverr world and if you are looking for a very special voice with a professional background for some project (especially for the German-speaking countries), I'm incredibly happy to expand my circle of acquaintances through more collaborations! Thank you Fiverr! Here you can find me! 😄 https://www.fiverr.com/emanuelghoost/record-your-german-voicemail-ivr-or-business-greeting https://www.fiverr.com/emanuelghoost/record-your-deep-masculine-german-voice-over https://www.fiverr.com/emanuelghoost/record-your-young-dynamic-voice-over-deutscher-sprecher https://www.fiverr.com/emanuelghoost/record-your-charismatic-male-german-voice-over https://www.fiverr.com/emanuelghoost/be-the-voice-of-your-project-deutscher-sprecher
  18. Hi! I am a seller. Can you please tell me about how can I give commercial rights to my voiceover that I sell? Is it some document? Please inform me about this.
