Do we need to keep refreshing our app every minutes before it indicates we're online or we just need to have it as a screen?

You don't have to refresh your app or browser every few minutes. That just means you are cheating the system and try to appear online. Whether you are online or not doesn't really matter honestly. People usually order from sellers that are offline, mainly because they have a great portfolio, amazing reviews and they have proven their worth on the platform.

Instead of trying menial things like these that never work, I would highly suggest working on your gigs and making them the best they can be. Also, improve your skills, learn something new and offer new services. That's what you want to do, as it will help you create a great freelance business. If you just try to stay online, you are doing things wrong, as it won't help you with anything. It just wastes time.
