Buyer doesn't respond and my order is late.

Question

Hi!

I received an order from a photographer to edit 7 pictures on Thursday at 2 pm and the buyer gave me all the requirements I needed, he wanted me to give him 3 samples of edits to choose one. After 1-2 hours I sent him these 3 samples, but answered me only at midnight that he "will have to ask the client".

That was the last message from him and my order entered the late phase today at 2 pm so I asked for a time extension and I gave him more messages, but he doesn't answer even if he was online.

What should I do in this case?

If the work is complete and per the client's instructions, you should deliver the work as soon as possible.

When an order is marked as Late, and the seller missed the expected duration time to deliver. If 24 hours pass since the order is marked as Late, a seller is given a negative rating: "Cancelled order seller failed to deliver on time."

Depends. You said that the Buyer delivered all the requirements for you to be able to complete the order, correct?

Two options, based on the information you've provided.

1) complete the order, per the original requirements.

2) contact Fiverr Customer Support and ask them to cancel the order for you.

The first risks the Buyer being unhappy with what was delivered, taking the work and demanding cancelation (or leaving a poor review), wasting all the work and time you've put into it. The second is far less stressful, though, and saves you time and effort. Both will affect your completion rate. (Unless they take the review route, but there's still a risk of cancellation, even after it's completed.)
