Does changing gig images lower your ranking?

I am almost certain that changing gig images do not affect ranking but I can't help noticing that after a year of not stop orders, the order quantity is much less since the images have been changed and upgraded.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Gig ranking is based on your gig performance. I change my gig cover many times and never had a problem with it.

But when i changed my gig image, then I lost my gig ranks in few days. Besides I got 2 orders in this period. What is this problem I don’t know at all.

It shouldn't happen based on the images alone. The only thing I can think of is that the new images are less appealing and so people don't click on them as much. It's possible that Fiverr then lowers the page of our gig as a result as they want to promote gigs that get lots of attention (that's a guess - no one knows the actual algorithm Fiverr use!).

Have you tried putting the original images back and see if there's any change?
