Getting our first sale

Are there any tips that successful members of the Fiverr community could share with us?

Our company is trying to get their first client on Fiverr! I believe our gig is optimized with attractive images, a detailed description, and keyword tags. Is there anything we're missing?

Here is our gig: https://www.fiverr.com/seosplat/wordpress-site-speedup-onpage-optimization-and-speed

There are thousands of posts, questions and answers on the forum. You just have to look.

I'm gonna pitch in here.

Your gig image is not attractive. It's actually horrible. I'm not meaning to be rude. But it looks like something from an 80s game console.

Not sure if that was the point? Anyway, you're not likely to get sales with it. I'm saying this to help, not to be rude. But I have to be honest, otherwise my advise is useless to you.

What you need is a designer. I have no idea about your skills in website optimization for speed, but design isn't your strong side.

As with anything, it's best to leave it with the pros! :)

Again, not to be rude, only to help!

Thanks for the input! I'll contact a designer now; I'm sure they'll do a better job!

I'm sure they will! The rest looks ok to me. But that gig image popped out. I would look into getting a new logo as well, while you're at it. First impressions matter a lot. :)

Best of luck and welcome to Fiverr! :)

P.S. A great gig-video can help increase conversions and get you more sales!

As a brand identity specialist and front-end designer + developer ski, I agree with @smashradio

I couldn't find any reason to use a pixelated design for this types of service. Colors, contents everything should be changed and updated.

Also, I couldn't find much details in your gig description, especially the idea of the end result.

Additionally, your profile bio also didn't give much details.

Remember, when your gig looks attractive, people usually click it to check the details.

If they like the description and service, they could be interested to take your service.

I agree.

And like I mentioned, a good gig video can make a big difference. Most people never read your description, so a gig video will help! That doesn't mean you should skimp on the description, because it's very important for ranking (and some people will actually take the time to read it through to the end, and that's the clients you really want!)

Thanks, I updated the gig image! I'll add a video soon, too!

Thank you for the input, I changed the gig image! I'll change the description soon, as well!
