  1. YES!!!

    Finally a good question…lol

I’m like most everyone else here on the Forum…I like Football.

Where I live in Western Canada I’ve been able to attend several CFL (BC Lions) and NFL (Seattle Seahawks) home games.

I haven’t been to any in many years, but still follow the game online.

  2. Good questions.

I joined Fiverr almost 5 years ago.

At the time, there were far fewer Sellers here.

    What worked for me?

Well, it took over a year before I got my first job here. In the time it took, I became a Buyer and hired a handful of Sellers for small jobs. It taught me a lot about how to best present my Gigs if I expected to get any work here.

So I started with a $5 Gig. After getting a crazy amount of business, I added more Gigs and raised my prices to $10.

I still got a crazy amount of work.

So I split my Gigs and started running tiered pricing. So, for different options in one Gig you would be paying $15, $20 and $25 depending on the options.

    I was still busy.

It was at this time I started increasing my rates every six months.

It kept working until the pandemic flooded Fiverr with tens of thousands of newbies looking to get rich.

    What advice DID NOT work?

    Promoting myself on Social Media.

That is a waste of time.

  3. One of the most common questions posted on the Fiverr Forum I’ve noticed in the past few weeks I have been active on the Forum pages is one that asks something about a drop in Gig impressions and clicks.

Here is a shortlist of probable reasons for that.

Hopefully, this post will clear up some of the confusion newbies are experiencing.

1 - The Increase Of New Members To Fiverr

I have noticed a huge increase in the number of posts that start with the words, “I am new to Fiverr…” There is a great deal of interest in this freelancing platform from all over the world. It seems to attract dozens of new members every hour or two. This will have a negative impact on your Gig impressions and clicks simply due to the math.

This is what I mean by that.

If (an example I’m making up) you were one of 100 Sellers who provided a Gig on video editing a few months ago and saw a fair deal of impressions and clicks, that made sense. Now, with so many newbies on Fiverr, you may be one in 10,000 Sellers with the same Gig. That has increased your competition by a huge amount and as a result, your impressions and clicks are going to logically drop.

    2 - Gig Rotation

Fiverr has (apparently) implemented a process that is known on the Forum as Gig Rotation. What this means is that if you have seen your Gig listed on Page 1 for your Gig category/keywords, it probably isn’t there anymore. Fiverr has chosen to “rotate” Gigs to make it fair to all Sellers to get Page 1 exposure.

As to what tips and tricks you have to use to activate the rotation process, it’s unknown. That’s a good thing because keeping it unknown ensures that it remains fair for everyone.

3 - Your Gig Looks Tired And Dull

It happens. With so much extra competition out there in recent months, you can bet that some of the new Sellers have Gig descriptions that are better than yours. They may even have Gig photos and videos that are better than yours. All this means is that with many new Fiverr members using flashy, attractive visuals, some of the impressions and clicks you are used to getting are going somewhere else.

You can try to compete by updating your Gig details on a regular basis (I do this) as that will keep your Gigs looking fresh and new. It also doesn’t hurt to check out what your competitors are doing and try to be better with your presentation.

There are other reasons why your impressions and clicks may be dropping from what you are used to seeing, but these are very likely the main reasons. Other Fiverr members will add to this list and hopefully everyone sees enough business in 2021 to keep busy and not worry about stats so much.

  4. BAD ADVICE.

    Read this:

I have been on Fiverr for about 4 years. I have owned my own business for 20+ years. I also have 40+ years of experience in Media/Marketing. In the month I have been active on the Forum I have seen a lot of new Fiverr members asking for advice. They usually get the same “bad” tips from other new members who must have seen something on YouTube by a so-called expert. So…here is my list of the TOP 5 WORST PIECES OF ADVICE TO GIVE A NEW FIVERR MEMBER… Stay online all day/all night. This is j…

  5. I suspect there is a detail or two missing in your story.

Fiverr will have sent you a notice in your inbox or email explaining what the violation was from the ToS.

Somehow, this has not been included in your side of the story.

I know, you say “They have never showed me any proof which violation I did” but I suggest you check your inbox/email one more time.

  6. If Fiverr was a free service, it would have gone broke some time ago and you wouldn’t be getting any work.

I look at the Fiverr fees as a commission to the source that brought me the work.

I also charge enough to make it worth my while after Fiverr takes their fees.

  7. Hello @looseink, how are you doing. I’ve noticed you’ve been on Fiverr for quite a long time. I’m also facing the same problem that @engrsheraz27 is facing.

See, I joined Fiverr October 2020 and I’ve made 2 sales with 5 Star Reviews. But since 25 days ago, I’ve not got any other sale. Should I be worried or it’s just something normal and I’ll start getting sales soon as these Holidays are over?

Any advice will help a lot.

    Best Regards,

It’s a slow time of year because of holidays.

    Just be patient.

  8. SPOILER ALERT!

I have used the “Promoted Gigs” feature.

Don’t rely on the “suggested bid” figure to get you seen.

I TRIPLED and QUADRUPLED that figure then started getting jobs.

I think the “Promoted Gigs” feature can be very helpful for Sellers seeking more work and are not afraid to spend money to make money. If increasing your bid amount scares you, then you are probably not going to win a lot of bids against more aggressive Sellers.

    Good luck.

  9. I know my numbers are down in 2020 partly due to COVID.

I’ve had regular clients tell me they have shifted from hiring freelancers to doing work in-house on their websites due to the uncertainty they have regarding buying online.

    Will 2021 be different?

I am thinking of unique Gigs to offer that may find me a different niche than I’ve been in and I may see success with that…or not.

However, I am looking to 2021 with hope. We’ll see how it goes.
