  1. Do you realize that that same bitcoin went real quick from 0 to 100 acceleration 😉 don’t be scared bro it is what it is you loss and you gain same with flat (doller) , do you know the value of dollars not same last 10 years

What you don’t get about this situation is that it’s not about me and my savings.

It’s about Fiverr. This is a company that wants profits now. They don’t sit on their money for years, they have staff, investments they make, they just announced they bought a new business today. So, they don’t sit on Bitcoin to see if their investments are good or not. Plus, it would be a financial mess for them to include this and then see their money devalue, then increase in price and so on within just a few days.

That’s why most large businesses don’t support bitcoin. Amazon doesn’t, Fiverr doesn’t, and I can share many others SO…

  2. I always used Chrome, but after years later, I switched to Brave and I don’t expect to come back to Chrome anytime soon. Brave is much safer browser for me which doesn’t consume and don’t eat that much computer’s performance than Chrome.

I agree. If you’re low on resources, Brave or even Maxthon can be a very good pick.

I upgraded my RAM just to be able to open dozens of tabs in Chrome or Firefox, but honestly I think I have 5-7 browsers installed, all with their own purpose 🙂

You mentioned about the times when your gig was deranked where your impressions dropped from 1500-1000 to 5-10, I would really appreciate if you could share more about how did you overcome that and when and how did your gig ranked again.

He already said. He provided great work to the customers he already had. If the gig performance is going up, then your ranking goes up too. It might take a week, it might take more.

  4. That’s why you don’t just stick to a single source of income.

If you don’t have savings and always need money right away, I recommend trying to find additional sources of income. This way you don’t have to worry about Fiverr’s clearance.

Well, not all of us are able to find jobs in our residence countries. It’s not easy to find a job like you’re saying.

Granted, not all buyers are fraudulent, but some of them are, so they are just protecting yourself, while also protecting you too.

I’m not saying it should be removed in every order but depending on the buyer who’s content with their order.

I don’t mean locally. There are many ways to make money online just like Fiverr. I agree, the revenue can be rather unstable, and the pandemic made things worse for a lot of people here. There are way more sellers, so less chances to get sales.

Freelancing is different and normal work is different.

Pretty sure normal work gets you paid once or maximum 2 times per month. Which is 15 days. Fiverr does the same, more or less.

You can get a faster clearance time if you are a top rated seller. But other than that, I am sure they will not budge. Granted, not all buyers are fraudulent, but some of them are, so they are just protecting yourself, while also protecting you too.

  6. I was sleeping in today when I was woken up by the recognizable Fiverr email notification from my phone. “What is it now? It is Saturday morning…” I mumbled to myself before stumbling out of bed to check my phone. The words “Congratulations! You’re a Top Rated Seller!” were blasted over the screen as I unlocked it. I gasped. “What? That can’t be true…” I checked my profile. Sure enough. The badge was there. I ran to my girlfriend to show her, but she is doing a group project for her class on Zoom, so now I am here making a bragging thread.

I have been selling on Fiverr since mid-May 2018, having started on here as a buyer in December 2016. For the first 12-15 months of selling, I was more concentrated on other projects and still in school, so I probably used “Out of Office” mode twenty times. I became a Level 2 seller on August 15, 2019, and it is only during 2020 that I have really started to earn a lot here. I got nominated for Top Rated Seller for the first time in November, so I got the badge on my third try. In fact, I never thought I was going to get the badge. Fiverr had never chosen me for anything. Never a Rising Talent badge and never a Fiverr’s Choice badge before the beginning of this month. I thought they would never choose me due to the fact that I have blocked 161 people on Fiverr (yes, I have counted - more than 100 of them happened during one month, though, where I was being targeted by spammers).

I think it is customary to give tips during a self-congratulatory post, so I will just say that the thing that has helped me the most is to study marketing techniques, read the forum and listen to the successful people here, do your own research, and think before you speak. However, I will also copy a list of tips I gave in another thread:

    • Study effective marketing techniques - “Principles of Marketing” by Phillip Kotler and Gary Armstrong is a good place to start
    • Learn effective business communication - “Excellence in Business Communication” by John V. Thill is a good place to start.
    • Read Fiverr’s Terms of Service and the Community Standards carefully.
    • Use common sense.
    • Think before you speak.
    • Follow this Bible verse (you don’t have to be Christian - it is just generally good advice): “Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.”
    • Trust your gut. Do not work with a buyer if something seems fishy. And, if something seems too good to be true, it most likely is.
    • Know your boundaries and put your foot down when you need to.
    • Continue reading and learning every day.
    • Work hard.
    • Never cut corners.
    • Lift weights, do cardio.
    • Eat healthy and count your calories.
    • Meditate.
    • Take cold showers.
    • Do not get addicted to anything.
    • Never misrepresent yourself. Make sure you can actually complete your offering to a professional standard and be honest about what you can do.
    • Make sure to take breaks. Taking your weekends or at least Sunday off is healthy. Spend time doing things you enjoy and spend time with your family and friends.
    • Study your competitors. Make sure your gigs stand out and adjust them if needed. Never rest on your laurels.
    • Learn to accept and apply criticism.
    • Use sunscreen.

I am just overjoyed! Gonna be some partying tonight!

Congratulations @vibronx. Great job. Good luck ahead!

It doesn’t matter how many people you block. This is a tool to protect sellers from fraudulent buyers. I don’t see it as a problem if you block people that try to manipulate the system, which purposefully rate you poorly or stuff like that. It’s just a great way to cleanse your Fiverr experience.

  7. I delete Gigs that don’t get much action and create new ones all the time.

I haven’t seen any negative impact on my account at all.

Yep, that doesn’t pose any issue. Based on your level, you can have a certain number of gigs. So… you can easily experiment with the services you offer. I for one don’t experiment that much, but I should learn from @looseink and go through my list of gig ideas.

  8. Use one of the following to get your first $$$ on fiverr

Share Share Share, Work on 2% success rate and let people see your gig (go on fb, quora, LinkedIn and search content RELATED to your gig, engage with people and post your gig link

You will get amazed by the number of impressions, and it builds up (remember this is organic not paid)

I also recommend embedding your gig offsite to get a backlink (some people create a separate offsite page for each gig)

For me honestly, I have asked a friend to go purchase any of my packages and I refunded him in cash to get my first review

It was a good fiverr experience because I used the dashboard, and went through the job submission process

I also recommend embedding your gig offsite to get a backlink (some people create a separate offsite page for each gig)

Backlinks just bring people to Fiverr. Fiverr specifically stated that backlinking doesn’t work for gig ranking, they have their own algorithms for ranking. So all you’re doing is you’re offering Fiverr more backlinks.

  9. Well my gig were and still are out of search since early to mid-november. I can’t be found in search at all, so I had to rely on older customers coming back. There’s nothing you can do. Unfortunately due to the pandemic a lot of people came to Fiverr to work online, and that messed up ranking and growth for a lot of older sellers. But… it was to be expected at one point…

  10. Exactly it looks like an analytics bug across both promoted and unpromoted gigs.

Well I am not receiving any new messages or anything from promoted gigs, so I tend to believe it’s just the system not working if you are not in search. Which makes sense for me. Who knows, I will update when things change. I am still rather upset that payment system errors that eventually lead to cancellations are counted as seller cancellations, even if I had nothing to do with that. It certainly messed up my ranking, as soon as that number started to raise significantly, I started getting less new inquiries, to the point where I have no customers aside from old ones.

  11. I think it would depend on what you’re targeting in the ad, though.

It’s like Facebook Ads. If your targeting strategy is wrong or your competition high and it’s hard to stand out, the ad won’t succeed. Creating a targeted, high converting ad I’d quite a skill.

I think it would depend on what you’re targeting in the ad, though.

Of course, but then again, even the worst ad would get a few impressions. I’ve been using this on multiple gigs and none got even a single impression. So… clearly if you’re removed from search for some reason, this will not help you in any way.

  12. Hope you get your gig back to the search soon.

I agree with your statement that Fiverr was extremely buggy for the past 2 months. I experienced and still experiencing LONG DELAYS IN CUSTOMER SUPPORT REPLY. It is taking more than 20-30 days for the customer support to respond to any issue.

Hope Fiverr gets better soon, otherwise it’ll have a really bad impact on buyers and sellers.

LONG DELAYS IN CUSTOMER SUPPORT REPLY. It is taking more than 20-30 days for the customer support to respond to any issue.

That’s due to the pandemic and a lot of people believing that Fiverr is the ultimate recipe to make money online fast. A lot of YouTubers are stating that it’s easy to make money on Fiverr and people are making low quality gigs that will never get any traction. What they do is they get in front of legitimate, professional sellers that actually want to make an honest living by harnessing their skills.

Ever since the pandemic started, I saw a decrease in sales.

Speaking of that, I want to provide another update. I am still not getting any views with the promotion, so if the gigs are removed from search on purpose by Fiverr’s algorithm, you have to wait until you are back in search. At least that’s what it seems to me

  13. Thanks for the clarification. I’ve been working steady for a couple of clients, so maybe that’s why I haven’t noticed not being in searches. I have received one order so far from a new client through the promoted gig of mine and that’s in just two days of promotion. Maybe try to “jazz up” your gig details? Just a suggestion. I’ve changed the title of mine often to keep it looking fresh.

I believe the reason why I am not in search is because during October and November I had the number of cancellations increase quite a lot. I barely more than a dozen cancellations in 2 months, yet due to Fiverr’s payment system not working properly people were placing orders and the payment was not going through. So now I have 140 cancellations for the past 2 months. I am over 90%, so those are not taking into account for the completion rate, but I am sure they are taken into account when it comes to ranking. So I am pretty sure that’s the reason why I am in the back.

The idea here was that whenever you are removed from search, this feature doesn’t seem to be working. So I just have to wait for a montht to get back. Now I am worried that Fiverr will still have failed payments and I end up in the back again. Not sure what happened there, but I do know one client that reached to me and told me his payment failed, when he tried a second time the order was active, but it wasn’t in my queue, nor did the buyer could access it. Thankfully I was able to complete it by talking with the customer in the inbox… So yes, at least in my case, Fiverr was extremely buggy for the past 2 months or so, and I am paying the price for that with deranking.

So yes, I can’t really do anything with these promoted gigs until I am back in search. Since they take the past 2 months into account… I assume I will most likely be able to use this service in late January or hopefully earlier.

  14. From what I understand, you do NOT lose your organic search visibility. Or, at least that’s what it says in one of the FAQs under the promoted gigs page. I’m still getting views on top of my promoted gig. I believe the promoted gig gets MORE exposure when you paid PPC for it. Just my understanding.

You don’t lose organic visibility, but I am not getting any organic views on Fiverr from anything aside old customers. I am fully removed from search, and because of that I assume the promoted gigs don’t work. I clearly see all I can do is wait.

  15. @donnovan86 you’ve 30 orders in queue in one of your gigs… I don’t understand how you’re getting orders if you’ve been completely removed from search.

Exactly what @vickiespencer said, and what I already stated in a few other topics. I only get orders from regulars. People that already have your link are able to buy from you. However, I am not exposed to new customers, while others with similar or lower stats are. As I said, i am fully removed from search, it’s not like I am at the bottom. You can’t find any of my gigs in search, unless you use the Country filter, and even then I appear only on desktop, not on mobile.

  16. Well, I used this thing on 2 of my gigs. Since I’ve been removed from search, I wanted to see if this will give me exposure or not for those 2 gigs. Well, after 2 days, there are no views registered from the paid promotion, not to mention 0 orders. So as far as I can see, if they removed you from search for some reason, you can try to pay for exposure, it won’t really make a difference. I will get back with an update after a week, but even so, for 2 days I was expecting at least a few views. Clearly there are other factors at play.

  17. @miles_graphics You are right, But Fiverr nothing say.

I really need back to the regular position

I really need back to the regular position

At least you are still in search. I’ve been fully removed from search for a month, and that’s for all my gigs. Regarding gig rotation, it all comes down to gig performance and how many sales you have, how fast you reply to customers, the reviews you get, obviously and so on.
